Re: Symbolic link or what?

Sorry, but it still seems to be writing to the first CCTV folder, not the new one that has been created inside it. All I have in there is my original folder called 'Recordings' where I used to move old recordings too? I will start again and delete everything in the pi/CCTV folder then re-run that co...

Re: Symbolic link or what?

Thanks, I have done what you said, and now have a folder called CCTV which has just one folder in it called CCTV, when I enter this second CCTV folder it shows the files I have in my HDD.
I have re-started the CCTV transfer from my cameras and am waiting to see what happens.

Re: Unable to get files from pi onto HDD?

Re: Unable to get files from pi onto HDD?

Forgive my ignorance, but where exactly would I put that line of code? is it in the fstab file?
Also I am using the user ;pi; to log into the PI from the camera, and I also point to the CCTV1 directory?

Unable to get files from pi onto HDD?

Hi First post and newbie to pi, I have followed some guides on here regarding seting up a home NAS where my HDD is plugged into a USB port on the PI. Now I'm not sure where I've gone wrong or what I've missed out that I should have done, but I can get the files transmitted from my security cameras t...
