Cables for connecting sensors to Pi

The regular 12 in jumper wires are too short for my industrial application. What other cables can be used to connect sensor to pi. Need atleast 2 meter long cable

Re: Booting Raspberry pi from your laptop

But isnt this useful only when your laptop and pi are connected to same wifi, but then you want to connect to another network. In my case i wont know before hand what the ssid and pwd for new network is. When i go to this new place i will not have my old wifi network

Booting Raspberry pi from your laptop

I was able to setup PI by connecting it to display and then connecting it to wifi. Now i need to take my pi to another site and connect to wifi there. I may not be able to find a display to connect to over there. How can i boot it through my laptop so that i can then add wifi details in Pi.

ADXL345 Accelerometer output

HI Gurus
I have recently built a basic system by connecting ADXL345 to Pi and Im seeing output like X=-229, Y=-188
,Z=409. Understand that these represent acceleration along 3 axis. Want to understand what the units these values represent. Is it m/s^2 ? How can i convert these to physical units ?

Re: Connecting spread out sensors wirelessly

I have Rpi 3B+ which is wifi enabled like the ESP....But finding a WLAN network in the field could be difficult. If there is bluetooth module per sensor i can stream this data to Rpi and then get the data out via a long Network cable to the modem located several meters away Make your RPi run as the...

Re: Connecting spread out sensors wirelessly

Thank You experts...Im assuming we dont need wifi to transmit data from ESP8266 to Rpi. Getting a wifi in the field will be a problem.

Re: HC-05 and Pi

maybe a naive question......can i connect my sensor to HC-05 and then pair it with Pi 3B+so that i can wirellessly send sensor data to Pi and fromt here i can send that data to cloud via wifi or ethernet

Connecting spread out sensors wirelessly

Hi all I am planning a couple of projects in agriculture and shop floor where the sensors (Accelerometer, humidity , temperature) are spread out over a distance. I have one rasperry pi. How can i connect the sensors to Rpi wirelessly. I am thinking of Zigbee and Bluetooth. Can someone provide detail...
