It's all legal and open. my ass is covered in 300 ways. You are allowed to own a gun, just don't shoot anyone. God bless America XD

I think i will side with wither getting a custom kernel for the Rpi, or simply releasing a tutorial for how to use my product with an Rpi.

Re: Powering peripherals?

Is there any way to disable parts? Like for my purposes I will not require audio, I most likely will not need a display at all. at least not the RCA display for sure. or status LED's

Could we some how not use those to save a small amount of power.

Re: Is Rpi the best for this?

Well I wonder if I use an old enough OS, something extremely simple or maybe someone here has something very simple that won't support much, (HDMI, AUDIO, ...) it will use less power. I guess I can use the model A, I just need a REALLY REALLY basic OS

Re: Is Rpi the best for this?

basically but it doesn't pass through. I dont know how to make this sound less comlicated. it really isn't

I need to plug a keyboard into something. and have it power the keyboard and record the keystrokes. it DOES NOT then pass the info to a computer it simply stores it.
