Supply the components as a kit of parts, then people can make/ design there own PCB layouts (if they have the skills and tools to do surface mount) Thanks Doan oh you mean like soldering those SMD capacitors, resistors and whatever using something like my soldering set below? soldering_arsenal.jpg ...

Re: Running Raspbian from USB Devices : Made Easy

one thing I recently noticed on my RPi4B-4G running raspbian from USB-SSD is that it ignores any drive plugged into any of the vacant USB ports.... On my RPi4B-4G, usb-boot sees all USB drives that are plugged in. Well it does see any drive connected if it was plugged before boot-up (auto-mounted i...

Re: Controlling a liquid pump motor

if your "goal" is for the pump to output 200ml every time, then stop. you'll need a flow meter at the output of the pump the flow meter output is read by RPi code in the RPi interprets the read value and calculates the time it needs to "turn on" the pump to get "195ml" (estimated 5ml for the final d...

Re: Rudimentary NAS

AFAIK, all available RPi HDD/SSD interface boards in the market uses USB connection, some are quiet expensive... and with questionable functionality...

so to make it simple and cost effective, just use a SATA to USB3.0 adapter cable, like the Eluteng "Blue", Inateck UA1003, Sabrent EC-SSHD, etc.

I meant one sticky to a single post with multiple links (and a brief description) within. Somewhat like an index post. The same way the not booting sticky works. Agree with this, but its still up to the mods if they would want to "index" it. As for me, I just scan the first page of each forum secti...

first of all are those external drives (HDDs?/SSDs?) self powered or bus powered (getting power from RPi)?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to connect a speaker using its wires to the gpio, is that possible? And if so, can I do the same with a mic?? one can connect small speakers and a mic to RPiZW's GPIO directly, using just wires... very simple...anybody can do that... ;) however.... one cannot get an...

check your /boot/config.txt file and see if you have the same setting

Code: Select all

# DMT (computer monitor) modes

Many tutorials are based on the /etc/apt/source.list only. But there are also other lists /etc/apt/source.list.d/rasp.list and /etc/apt/source.list.d/deb-multimedia-list can you provide convincing evidence to support your "warning" like links to those "alleged tutorials" otherwise you're just troll...

My RPi3B's screen is from an old MSI EX460 which died 5 years ago.... just recently I bought the LVDS driver board that matched the LCD screen (took me a while to do the research) the LVDS has on-board audio amplifier so I also hooked it up to a speaker. in the picture below, you'll notice that I re...

I have tried several USB audio, like the Sound Blaster X-Fi Go, and some other cheap equivalents, like plugable.jpg comparing it with the RPI's built-in analog output, the USB audio dongles's audio does sounded louder (and better/clearer). however... it does hog some space on the USB ports which pro...
