If you need more memory, use ZRam.

Re: Something is wrong with my Pi

A good way to test is to create a file in your home directory. Any file will do. It doesn't have to have any content. Then reboot and check if the file is still there. If it isn't, your card is dead - copy the contents to a new card and you will be fine. Just to add on to this, if this happens, thi...

Have you tried switching to the Prosilver theme?

I couldn't run with notifications I post on too many threads.
The other raspberry pi theme does have notifications, but the view of it don't look the best. I guess it's a trade off.

Notification suggestions

Hello all, i would like to make a notification suggestion that many forums have. There is usually a notification bar with a bell icon that shows if anyone has commented on posts that a person follows or created. I sometimes find it frustrating to always have to look at "your posts" to see if an upda...

Re: Raspbian memory problem

So this is pretty normal, the task manager is just showing the memory used by cache files? I was quite worried there because I thought I somehow ruined task manager. Thanks for your help!

Top output:

Code: Select all

KiB Mem : 948948 total, 368620 free, 156340 used, 423988 buff/cache
Notice the buffers/cache amount

Looks like task manager sees the buffers/cache as 'used' and conky doesn't
Whats all that Buff/cache mean?? Would it be safe to clear the cache? If so, how do i do it?

Re: Raspbian memory problem

In the image shown, if you compare the memory used shown by the task manager, and the memory used show by Conky (the gui on the right) and the top from terminal. the memory in task manager is much higher for some reason.

Re: Raspberry PI 3B overheating

This should not happen. The core should throttle at 80C or so and the raspberry pi will try to decrease the temperature. Have you added any settings to /boot/config.txt?

That is a great web site you have created there, DarkPlatinum. I have one suggestion... In a year or so Raspbian will have rearranged such things ...

Is the hotspot on your phone off? I made a wifi setup tutorial for raspbian lite via command line a couple odd days ago, do you want to see if your config file is the same? Here's the link. There are 3 different ways, so try each of them. https://html.dynu.net/index.php/setting ... mand-line/

Do you know anything about SEO? I would like my site to come in top results, but as there are many websites out there, I'm pretty doubtful. I have gotten google to index my site. When I click the link I get a "This connection is untrusted." error
I found the problem. I don't have a certificate for the www part. Only for the site html.dynu.net. Let me update the link once again. Thanks for pointing this out! :D
