SOLVED: Chrome using too much memory, help!

Hello, with 4 chrome tabs open on my raspberry pi, task manager says: 207.3mb, 114.1mb, 75.4mb, 65.3mb, 40.2mb, 16.3mb, 9.5mb, 7.5mb. this is each chromium-browser process. Chrome eats my memory like a chocolate bar. Does anyone know how to get fire fox, or decrease the memory usage by chrome? I hav...

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

When I get to the part to compress using xz, this stops my raspberry ok because the xz compression takes over 500mb Ram. What do you suggest I do?

Re: Raspberry Pi is a waste of time (and money).

If you actually took the time to look. You don't buy a gaming PC that cost $1500 to make a media server, you buy a Raspberry Pi to do that. Some tutorials might be outdated, it's all about looking when they were made and for which type of Raspbian they are for. Let me tel, you an example. When I was...

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

Ok, but that's not what I proposed, so good luck with that if you want to install it with PINN. You'll have to rewrite your partitions.json file and possibly partition_setup.sh to match. Thank you for the link you have provided. i will backup Raspbian and possibly RetroPie. I will start doing the b...

Clearing Raspbian Cache issue

Hello, I am quite worried about my cached memory usage. I know that linux automatically accommodates memory to programs by clearing RAM caches. The Raspberry Pi sometimes freezes up when too much memory is used. On boot, there is around 200mb of cache. I am following this tutorial: https://www.tecmi...

Probably an old USB1.0/1.1 with that write speed - or else it's got a lot of bad blocks. :D
I got it fairly recently. Probably is USB 1.1 cause they probably can't afford to give 16GB SanDisk Ultras out. ;)

That is a totally useless post.

There is no question to answer. There is no useful information to learn from.

What actually were you trying to say?
Basically what I meant is don't use free usb drives with an RPi :P :P

By the way the hardest part will be choosing which OS to use out of the list ;-)
I have around 3 OS on different SD cards. Just wanting to bring them all together in a Hard drive to make things easier.

Re: 2 questions

It took me 2 hours to clone my Pi to a freebie 16 GB Usb. I'm pretty sure the clone works because when booting from it, it goes through the boot process until loading the GUI of raspbian. I'm guessing it can't load the GUI due to the super slow read and write speeds from the USB drive. Does anyone k...

Are you sure that even with them you would have suitable play back? Even the Latest RPi has issues watching videos from youtube.

Re: 2 questions

I understand this. I have setup raspbian from a USB drive. My issue is that i know in theory how to start up PiNN, but installing OS onto it is a different matter. On this site https://github.com/procount/pinn/blob/master/README_PINN.md#booting-an-os-with-pinn it says "PINN can install local images...
