Probably an old USB1.0/1.1 with that write speed - or else it's got a lot of bad blocks. :D
I got it fairly recently. Probably is USB 1.1 cause they probably can't afford to give 16GB SanDisk Ultras out. ;)

That is a totally useless post.

There is no question to answer. There is no useful information to learn from.

What actually were you trying to say?
Basically what I meant is don't use free usb drives with an RPi :P :P

By the way the hardest part will be choosing which OS to use out of the list ;-)
I have around 3 OS on different SD cards. Just wanting to bring them all together in a Hard drive to make things easier.

Re: 2 questions

It took me 2 hours to clone my Pi to a freebie 16 GB Usb. I'm pretty sure the clone works because when booting from it, it goes through the boot process until loading the GUI of raspbian. I'm guessing it can't load the GUI due to the super slow read and write speeds from the USB drive. Does anyone k...

Are you sure that even with them you would have suitable play back? Even the Latest RPi has issues watching videos from youtube.

Re: 2 questions

I understand this. I have setup raspbian from a USB drive. My issue is that i know in theory how to start up PiNN, but installing OS onto it is a different matter. On this site https://github.com/procount/pinn/blob/master/README_PINN.md#booting-an-os-with-pinn it says "PINN can install local images...

The people who comment here are doing so on their own time, and some of that time has quite a bit or real world value. Many of us are fairly old (I'm 69, for instance) and quite a few are professionals in various fields. The amount of "hand holding" you get depends on (a) who answers the question a...

Re: Something is wrong with my Pi

A good way to test is to create a file in your home directory. Any file will do. It doesn't have to have any content. Then reboot and check if the file is still there. If it isn't, your card is dead - copy the contents to a new card and you will be fine. Just to add on to this, if this happens, thi...

Have you tried switching to the Prosilver theme?

I couldn't run with notifications I post on too many threads.
The other raspberry pi theme does have notifications, but the view of it don't look the best. I guess it's a trade off.

Notification suggestions

Hello all, i would like to make a notification suggestion that many forums have. So this is pretty normal, the task manager is just showing the memory used by cache files? I was quite worried there because I thought I somehow ruined task manager. Thanks for your help!
