Re: The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Q&A thread

Lsmod shows that brcmfmac and brcmutil are loaded but wlan0 does not appear in ifconfig. Does it appear in? ifconfig -a ifconfig -a shows: pi@RetroPie ~ $ ifconfig -a eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr b8:27:eb:d3:ce:31 inet addr:192.168.0.187 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::5...

Re: RPi 3 SoC at nearly 100 °C, reporting 80 °C

These are my findings so far. My rpi2 was running at arm 1050mhz, core 500mhz, sdram 600mhz, schmoo 0x2000020 On medium bitrate 1080p x265 it would begin to stutter during action scenes. Slow scenes would be OK. On the first run of a video with the rpi3 running at arm 1200mhz, core 500mhz, sdram 600...

I've upgraded from an rpi2 to an rpi3. My rpi2 was running arm 1050mhz, core 500mhz, sdram 600mhz, schmoo 0x2000020. On medium bitrate 1080p x265 videos it would begin to stutter during action scenes. Slow scenes would be OK. With the rpi3 running at default arm 1200mhz, core 500mhz, sdram 600, schm...

Dragging up an old thread but...... Has anyone had any luck getting b-em to run in the console rather than on the desktop? beebem runs ok in the console using a frontend like emulation station but it hangs when you try to change discs in the menu, and sound does not work. b-em runs really well in th...

Try lowering gpu memory to 128mb by editing config.txt on a PC.

Wouldn't people who know what they're doing make a backup first?

I would absolutely not recommend ppl use this 'experimental' update without first backing up their sd card. It has absolutely hosed my system. Black screens, out of memory issues, Emulationstation knackered, now an sd which just refuses to boot. Give it a few weeks then give it another try.... Whic...

hello guys, we are doing a great job. I have a rpi2 and have installed the Chips package but Picasso96 does not work. I read in the entire thread and i think with a few fixses you can have good results but I have no programming esperience so I can't help you for it. Can you have a pre-compiled pack...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Ive gotta say I'm pretty impressed with uae4arm. No doubt many ppl have been much more adeventurous than me, but I think being able to run a p96 classic workbench setup on a 1.1ghz rpi2 is pretty cool, especially as it'll run both Doom and Quake (and demos like Startstruck) at pretty decent speeds. ...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Interesting, it's a little weird that it doesn't compile correctly in the first place. I've noticed that the rpi2 correct version operates much faster tan the rpi version. Not really surprising. Now, anyone else found an issue with alien breed 3D 2 and Jit? I have to turn Jit off to get it to start ...

Can someone give me a steer on how to get p96 running correctly? I'm using retropie 3.4 on an rpi2. I've setup classicwb adv on winuae. I've installed Picasso96 and all seems to run fine using uaegfx in screen mode prefs. When I move the hdf over to the rpi2 workbench will throw an error whilst boot...

Sega Saturn controller with retropie

Hi, Has anyone had any success using an original Sega Saturn controller with RetroPie when connected with a USB adapter? Likewise.

I bought a zero from thepihut at 1251 and one from pimoroni at 1356. So there was a window of at least two hours in which just the zero could be purchased.

Re: Pi0 (temporarily) in stock

I think you need to stop taking swipes at a reputable company on a public forum.

They sell the base unit, they sell pack ups comprising of various addons plus the base unit. If you were too slow to buy the zero by itself and chose to pay for a pack up then that's your problem, not theirs.
