Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Cool, thanks for the upload. The JIT2 binary seems to make sysspeed go a little crazy as it now reports 650Mips and 11.23MFlops, Sysinfo now reports 138.5Mips and 7.14MFlops. The old JIT1 binary reported 80Mips and 10MFLops in sysspeed, and in Sysinfo 85Mips and 6.48 MFlops. Games like AmiQuake and ...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Have you tried sysspeed? It's a better indication of a systems speed than sysinfo. Have you got an updated binary with the JIT2 code I could try?

Rive....

Are there any cooling topics you don't immediately pitch up in and start dumping over in your typically snidely, arrogant and condescending fashion? I don't think I've seen any recently. How about giving it a rest for a bit?

Sounds like this new camera is a complete no-go area at the moment. Disappointing.

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Good man, thanks! One other thing I've noticed, although I could be doing something wrong, but I can't get 4:3 ratio to stick in the config. I can select it, the screen changes to the correct aspect, but saving the config does not seem to remember the change. Upon reloading the config, 4:3 ratio is ...

Great stuff! But shouldn't there be a p96 800x600 resolution? I can see 640x400, 640x480, 1024x768 and some higher res ones but there's no longer 800x600.

Rpi-YouTube just doesn't seem to work for me. I followed the instructions in first post but I just get the rotating circle when I click OK to say I want to use omxplayer. Using an rpi 3. Check for existence of the directory "/home/pi/youtube-dl" If that is missing, run ginstall-ytdl /home/pi/youtub...

Re: Tft display with retropie

Possibly. I've got a working 3.5" pitft RetroPie 3.2 wheezy setup but haven't tried it with 3.6 or Jessie. There was an issue last year with the updated kernal which stopped the tft working correctly but that might have been resolved in the interim.

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 microSD card overclock

In my experience adding "dtoverlay=sdhost,overclock_50=100" stops the wifi adapter on an rpi3 from working.

Instead use "dtoverlay=sdtweak,overclock_50=100", assuming you have sdtweak in overlays. I had to copy it over from my openelec image.

That's pretty good and you're unlikely to get anything discernible out of trying to push higher. I guess I'm just lucky with two rpi3s that will hit 600.

Re: Overclocking

The Kodi pi is running the nightly Milhouse builds, force_turbo=1 and avoid_warnings=2. It's using a 3.5amp psu too. It could be that your psu isn't up to it - if the voltage drops then the pi will throttle the cpu and this could be killing your performance. Similarly the heat on your pi3 could also...

Re: Overclocking

I've got two RPi3s One is running the milhouse kodi builds. I haven't pushed the arm freq on this one yet. This will play 1080p x265 videos without a hitch, however if i loop high action scenes it will eventually hit 80degs and start to throttle. playback remains good until arm speed drops below aro...

Re: Emulation on the Pi3: Initial Testing

Star Wars Arcade (using lr-mame2010) runs at about 80/90 full speed. There are still audio issues (i think this is a mame problem) and I'll be damned if i can get the controls to work correctly, but it's pretty impressive. Soul Caliber runs at about 25% full speed with lr-mame2010. The Dreamcast ver...

Have you tried amiga emulation? I've tried uae4arm with Jit running a classicwb setup picasso96. The rpi3 is overclocked with arm at 1300, core at 500, sdram at 600. Sysspeed gives 80mips and 11mflops. Amiquake timedemo demo1 is just over 12fps. Starstruck is still not 060 speeds but it's faster th...

Re: The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Q&A thread

Did an answer come about for this issue? I too cannot get the wifi enabled. Lsmod shows that brcmfmac and brcmutil are loaded but wlan0 does not appear in ifconfig. I think I read somewhere on here that files were missing from /lib/firmware/brcm, namely the freshest ones added here: https://github....
