In the long term I managed to solve this problem, it was the power supply !!!!! I cannot believe all the problems it was something really stupid. I had a working configuration and was switching PSU & then had the same problems. Tip only use good/recommended PSU's..... Thanks for all your help & supp...

Just for your information, I tried with a new board and everything is okay. Somehow I managed to damage my board, really not sure as it's been cased and not really heavily used, odd but problem resolved.

Do some research this morning I think my RTL8188cus is not compatible for nl80211 and hostapd will not work.

Therefore; I need to change my USB WiFi card, to support hostapd & nl80211. If you could let me know what USB WiFi module you are using it would be a big help.

I would be intersted to know which WiFi module you are using, as I think my RTL8188cus is not supported by iw.
