Buster was just released it went from "testing" to "stabe".
I think you just need to do an "apt upgrade" and answer yes to change the release type.

Code: Select all

apt update

Re: PoE hat, Raspberry Pi 4, not able to power off

Yes but not all Pi4 are having the issue.... weird.... What issue? You're asking the Pi to reboot and that's exactly what it does... even sudo shutdown -h now ..??? it also reboots. or using Pi Gui (startx) when you shutdown, it reboots.... You seemed to be surprised that '-r' reboots the system an...

Re: When NOOBS 3.1.1 update?

In this forum there is instructions how to fix that, but i want to wait when what ever causes this is updated, Raspbian?, and then install latest NOOBS/Raspbian so wizard update finishes correctly. As I said: there will be no NOOBS update that will fix your problem. A newer version will *reinstall*...

You did save dhcpcd.conf file before rebooting?
+1
also make sure it was actually saved as you need admin rights to do that.

Same thing. when shutting down (sudo shutdown -r now), it reboots.

When NOOBS 3.1.1
Once NOOBS is installed it is never automatically updated.
NB: NOOBS is just the OS installer / selection program.
Are you actually referring to Raspbian? If that's the case then you have to post the command you're issuing and the *full* error message.

Yeah, yeah, my foreign spell check caused some typo's.....

Question remains: any suggestion where to go to for a Pi4 kit?
AFAIK at the moment the Pi store in Cambridge is the only retail outlet.
Another option may be the RS trade counter in one of their warehouses.

I have been looking about for a while and even tried the headmelted instructions for code-oss, but have had no luck with it (it seems to lock up with a blank window). Has anyone had any luck getting an older version of vscode installed on the Pi4? Maybe someone has found some reliable way to get it...

Right click on the time and select 'digital clock settings'
Change the format to e.g. %r

For more options use 'man 3 strftime' in a terminal window.

Did you allow root logins with password in the sshd configuration (/etc/ssh/sshd_config)?

BTW: I would set up passwordless SSH logins anyway (private / public key)

I think you need to ask on the retropie forum. Don't forget to give as much information on any error messages as possible.
