Re: TTL Serial is broken on Raspberry Pi 3

Yeah, the cord is 3V3 logic
And I was using screen on my Mac, had the drivers installed and had the correct pins.
Although I have a model B 512mb pi, I havn't had the chance to try it.

TTL Serial is broken on Raspberry Pi 3

Hi guys,

When I try to connect to my raspberry pi 3 using screen with baud rate as 115200 it prints out random garbage - I have done the TXD to RXD and vice versa crossover but it still doesn't work!

Wonder what you guys think...

I wonder what people think of this image of a raspberry pi bootup (it's supposed to be a Switch :geek:) (Nintendo seems to like linux - look at this ubuntu bootup below)

RPI B 512mb as server

Hi, there

My Raspberry Pi Model B 512MB runs server stuffs (MySQL, Apache)
and it's very slow. I have it running at 1100mhz and still... it's SLOW!

Any tips? Any other ideas for this Raspberry Pi? Otherwise, it's time for the "old junk" drawer.

Re: RPi Interactive Whiteboard

3) Best start with Rasbian, IMO NOOBS as an OS installer causes more bother than it's worth. With Rasbian, if you encounter any problems people here will know what you're using and be more able to assist. The SD card I've ordered with the package has pre-installed NOOBS, I'll experiment with it fir...

Pi zero order limit

Why do all the Pi-retailers put a limit 1 pi per customer limit? Why don't RS and element14 make them, if they did, there would be a lesser limit.

Re: Motor driver not working! :(

No that is the linear regulator one which gets waaay to hot. It can still be used if you replace the standard linear 7805 with a switch mode version, but they are rather expensive: Like these http://www.murata-ps.com/data/meters/dms-78xxsr.pdf There are others (cheaper) an somebody once mentioned i...
