Re: Docker on Pi64

.. How many servers can you make if you use PiCore instead of Alpine? For my PiCore servers I use busyboxhttpd .. Hi Gavinmc42, Just found out that there is a standalone 'Docker busybox' image and that is < 2MB :P Alpine is ~5MB , so can now run even more 'busybox http servers' .. pi64 ~ # docker p...

Windows not really my thing tbh, but gilius2k15 has a post here that may be of interest. QEMU with KVM is already installed on the current v1.5.0 Gentoo release (his linked instructions are for Ubuntu, but should work, mutatis mutandis , on Gentoo also). hth, sakaki Sakaki, thanks a lot for the lin...

Re: Bootable 64-bit Gentoo image for the RPi4 released (Xfce4 desktop)

Docker is opening up new areas of exploration. Looked for a WoA -Windows 10 docker image to run on a RPi4B-4GB and ,apparently , there is none available . Then saw this .... you can efficiently run additional guest operating systems on your 64-bit Gentoo RPi3/4, using QEMU virtualization with KVM ac...

Re: 1 Watt server challange!

Just to clarify; that's one Pi 4B 4GB running 14 virtual servers ? The spirit of the challenge was however to run a single Pi at one watt, or less, or as low as possible. Yes, they are on a single Pi 4B 4GB and, as shown in the attached screen shot, there is still a lot more RAM and storage space t...

Re: 1 Watt server challange!

What are those "servers" running. If just a bash prompt I'd discount them. They are all all 'busybox httpd' , all except one ( standard port :80) with non-standard 8080. 8081..xxxx ( busybox httpd -p xxxx ). The servers are doing a bit of intensive processing, to get those (zoom able )dynamic maps ...
