Re: Static IP

Broadcast is for when one machine wants to talk to all the other machines on the local network. This is the address they would call, and the address it should respond to. It's normally at the top of the address range, so if your Pi has an address of 192.168.15.3 and a netmask of 255.255.255.0 then ...

Re: Static IP

The 'lo' interface is the loopback interface, you should keep the 'auto lo' part uncommented (without the # infront) to not break applications that rely on it. The DNS server address goes into /etc/resolv.conf , like this: nameserver 192.168.6.10 You can put as many lines in there as you want, thou...

Re: Static IP

In the general case your network address will be similar to your ip address. So if ip = a.b.c.d and netmask = 255.255.255.0 then network = a.b.c.0 So if ip = 10.0.1.XX and netmask = 255.255.255.0 then network = 10.0.1.0 HTH PeterO in my case it ends with 1 instead of 0 and i am still not sure abt t...

Re: RCA composite video display

My old CRT TV is working well with RP except that the resolution is too low and a lot of text / windows is out of the screen area. I have configured the config.txt file to use PAL. What else needs to be done ?

Ok, i understand the reason.
Well, if u do not mind, can u kindly direct me to the link for the 'final' A4 version of Punnet Case. There have been a lot of modifications spread over 6 pages. So a lil confusing as to which one is the final one. I would like to try both svg and pdf versions.

Re: can we use 4GB sdhc card, class 4

Unfortunately, the Element 14 website, for our area, does not sells any accessory for RP so i could not purchase a SD card. Wish to buy one and noticed a lot being written both in favour or against class 4 cards. Puppy Linux recommends Class 6 or above. Some others rather prefer rather slower cards....

(1) If we have a paper / plastic sheet cut out to make a case for RP can static electricity create some problem for RP ? Paper is unlikely to cause a static problem, and plastic may well if you run it up and down the carpet regularly, plenty of people have used paper/thin card without issues and I ...

(2) How do we fix RP inside the case ? Or is the case small enough to stop RP...
