Re: Minecraft Worksheet

So if I understand it then (sorry just curious about the code) Your Saying that the first set is the start location and the second set is the size? or are you saying that is tells minecraft to fill the gap between coordanates set 1 and two? Nearly. The second set of x,y,z is the 2nd position in the...

Re: Minecraft Pi not launching

Some simple questions:

Are you logged directly into the Pi? I.e using a monitor attached to it, not through a VNC / SSH session?

Have you change the GPU memory allocation using raspi-config? Minecraft: Pi needs a minimum amount of RAM to run, I cant remember what but the default is fine.

Probably. There is only one way to find out if it'll work for your requirements though - give it a go.

If you want some confidence - here is a post about my Minecraft server on a Pi 2. http://www.stuffaboutcode.com/2015/02/r ... erver.html

Could you just create a program which outputs something on the screen? Presumably it could just be as simple as the word "hello" on a constant loop?

Re: The actual frame rate of the video

Your lost frames are probably due to 'things like' camera startup time, where the real world doesn't startup / finish immediately. If you need to get the exact number of frame you could count the frames as they are recorded and stop when you have the right number of frames (see picademy documentatio...

The currently being advised dates are all at the Google Digital Garage at the Library of Birmingham. All the info is here https://www.raspberrypi.org/picademy - although you do have to go through a few links. To apply for dates at Birmingham go here https://www.raspberrypi.org/picademy/google/birmin...

Is it an 'old' radio? I have recently done a vintage radio build ( http://www.stuffaboutcode.com/2015/05/raspberry-pi-vintage-radio-build.html ) and I was constantly getting false triggers on the edge detection due to old switches, in the end I used an analogue to digital to test if the switch was o...

You will have to believe me that it works, other than the fact my arrow is pointing down rather than up - my mistake due to Minecraft's odd spacial co-ordinates z - 1 is north z + 1 is south!

Your right, my original description of getting a directional vector is what was wrong, I didnt want a direction vector what I wanted was the ability to transform x,y,z co-ordinates based on yaw, pitch and roll. The easiest way to transform x, y, z coordinates based on yaw, pitch and roll (euler ang...

Reading orientation data in a loop

Hi, I seem to be experiencing an odd issue. If I read orientation data in loop say once every 2 seconds after only a few cycles it goes out of sync, if however I read it once every 0.1 seconds it doesnt go out of sync. To show what I mean I recorded it and uploaded it as an 'unlisted' video to youtu...

Re: Get directional vector from Yaw, Pitch & Roll

After some brain pulsing and experimentation this is how... You have to apply each movement to the vector individually, so: if: - y is round and round (yaw) - x is forward and backward (pitch) - z is side to side (roll) #apply yaw (around y) x = x * cos(yaw) - z * sin(yaw) z = z * cos(yaw) + x * sin...
