Re: Vibration sensor to cloud or external database

ah, just noticed the OP wasn't decided yet.
There is always the Node-Js (Javascript) based library called 'Johnny-Five' which can reads all ins/outs. You could also use "Node-Red" doing the same, just that it also allows you to send the data straight away to somewhere else.

Re: Vibration sensor to cloud or external database

could you elaborate a little more on how you get the sensor data and how the data looks like? I actually work right now on a slick FFT in C for the PI and I may have some suggestions too.

Re: Raspberry Pi Won't let me login

just to make it clear: they mean the ip of your PI, not the IP of your computer. I think setting an IP in server_name is a little odd in this case. Please try 'localhost' instead. That should work at least on the nginx level, not sure yet about owncloud. to getting/setting the ip of your PI is a lit...

I am using markdown with daux.io, it takes a directory filled with markdown files and then creates a boostrap3 based
page, it creates offline docs too. there are others too...

Re: What happened to the RPI Project, price now always high

hi, thanks for the kind replies, especially the one with smoking easter eggs, but fine. I will try that too. Ok, ash on my head. My local suppliers (and shops) here in spain came up with 60e and ebay (de/es) is not much different. And shipping and TAX from UK will still sum up easily to 60-70e. I gu...

What happened to the RPI Project, price now always high ?

Hi, to my surprise I figured that Raspberry-PI -3 is now pretty expensive (60-120e for some kits and 50e min price). I understand that it is because it's just got on the market and I guess it will become a little cheaper but still, this doesn't look good to me, especially with built-in bluetooth and...

new: editor and interactive shells

hi, merry Christmas dear teachers! i wanted to share a new tool (web-based, for RPI) with you which removes some hassle(tools, setups,...) typically in class rooms (but also for home and quick prototyping): - complete file-manager (supports a lot) - advanced code editor - interactive shells for bash...

PI store: developer sign up : error 500

I tried a few times over days to register as developer (with chrome, ff and different emails). It just comes randomly with a 500 error or is just not doing anything in the first form. I tried also with other browsers and also from other locations (spain/france/uk/germany). Is there are trick to sign...

Re: doing an IDE for PI

@heater I should add, the current version was designed for expensive and pretty complicated Audio/Video hardware (DSP racks, mostly found in theatres or better equipped buildings/conference rooms). The idea of doing a down cut version for the PI was obvious since its pretty similar: acquire and wrap...

Re: doing an IDE for PI

complicated: yeah, most screenshots have been done in the middle of something...that gets more stream lined and task based, no worry :-) A special PI version: text-editors get PI specific autocompletions (python, bash and what not), samples, references. Then there is Node-red and a dozen of Ada-frui...

Re: doing an IDE for PI

@heater, not really. But the good news is, in next spring you will have it stable on your table  And no worry, that all sounds just big but isn't really that big (ok, it took 8 years to get a good grasp on coding authoring tools, in the web). Did you check the screenshots? Most is working a...

hi, @Heater: The purpose is to have something solid for both scenarios: education & production. Also, guiding you through all workflow-steps: learning, acquisition, ux & deployment....Also supporting existing & popular tecs & tools out of the box (PHP/NodeJS for now), not just a text-editor like usu...

doing an IDE for PI

Hi, I am developing a web-based IDE for iOT & Co and I am gathering information about how a more optimized version for the RPI should look and work like. Since its a little big topic, please let me list down a few questions, together with I've got working so far. I am aware that PI is about 2 differ...

Re: What do people want to do that the rpi currently cannot

on the educational side there isn't just programming GPIOs as such. Kids should be able to use the PI for their daily achievements also = Media-Server & Social-Networks and with the right IDE or another visual programming language: automate them all together. I happen to build such tool right now an...
