Mauste, if you want subtitles to appear right away, use the -t option. Changes during playback have a delay.

XBMC should pick up subtitle files if they are in the same folder and have the same name as the video file. With omxplayer, you can try specifying the subtitle stream index using the -t option. Is it forbidden to combine tunneled and regular ports going in the same direction? I am requesting media time updates from OMX.Broadcom.clock.
