accelerate USB WiFi for youtube video streaming?

hey, for my Raspi B+ (Raspbian 8.0) , is it possible to accelerate USB WiFi for youtube video streaming? is there just USB 1.x or already USB 2.0 available? Or is it already there, and just has to be enabled somehow? Currently even standard internet browsing is effing lame, for youtube videos it han...

thank you very much for your efforts! I already loaded it down on my PC and had a look at the demo.c file. Re: HDMI graphic lib: openvg syntax questions

If you look at the code for it you could easily write your own versions, the shape drawing routines are mostly a few lines each. no sorry, I'm not that smart ;) I'm just a simple end-user, just some basic experience in programming Lego NXTs and Arduino, no clue about Raspi, C/C++ libs, not even Lin...

Re: HDMI graphic lib: openvg syntax questions

I'm afraid, that will become now REALLY weird :-/ tbh, I would appreciate a real DrawFIGURE API which works out of the box, just drawing border lines, no fill or background or anything which will muddle all up in the end... e.g., SetColor() SetBrushwidth() DrawCircle() DrawEllipse() DrawRect() DrawP...

Re: Reading GPIO input triggered by IRQ

I see, thank you, so wiringPi is supposed to be triggered by pthread while pigpio is using hardware access, is this reproduced correctly? Anyway, pigpio actually seems to be the better choice then. Could you please give me a hint how to access pinchange or timer interrupts? For wiringPi, my code is ...

Re: Reading GPIO input triggered by IRQ

ok, but 5µs will be no issue at all, that's really perfect.

Now I'm just curious about how wiringPi would perform, because I'm usually prefering it so far as I'm more used to it's API syntax (already since I was programming by Arduino Wiring/Sketch)

Re: Reading GPIO input triggered by IRQ

I'm using wiringPi, by this it's fine if I'm using just the encoder reading tasks but I have been warned that readings get lost or corrupted and jitter when dozens of tasks and daemons are running parallel additionally. So I would prefer to have real hardware interrupts instead, not at pthread or us...

Re: Reading GPIO input triggered by IRQ

I am programming in gpp C++, using pthread and wiringPi. I personally want to poll dPins quickly for rotary encoder reading, but there are lots of different parallel tasks running, particularly very calculation- intensive and time-consuming ones, e.g. analog reading, UART- and i2c reading, PID contr...
