deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ jessie main contrib non-free rpi
cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/raspi.list
deb http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/ jessie main ui

Re: lost ssh connection while running rpi-update

Actually, I think the real, overall answer to this question is: Use 'screen'. Given that there are some kinds of things that you really don't want to risk getting interrupted - and, yes, network connections can fail at any moment - you want to run them in a way such they will continue to run even i...

Re: (New) Official nightly full and cutdown/headless images

I removed the isc-dhcp-client and added in dhcpcd5, and modified the /etc/network/interfaces to auto lo iface lo inet loopback iface eth0 inet manual allow-hotplug wlan0 iface wlan0 inet manual wpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf iface default inet manual And it looks to be getting both...

Re: (New) Official nightly full and cutdown/headless images

If the IPv4 DHCP isn't working, and there is no IPv6 DNS resolver on the network, then there will be name resolution errors trying to do an apt-get. Did anyone solve the IPv4 issue?

Another 'Thanks' for MrEngman and LaFambe for their work. I've tried to get through the 33 pages of comments but didn't find anything about how to turn off the debug messages going to dmesg from the kernel.
