Re: Customer Support

Most companies have some sort of technical assistance. I haven't learned anything here that could have been the problem with my Pi and it's been silent for a while now. How much did you pay for your Raspberry Pi? How much have you paid for your Raspberry Pi Technical Assistance contract? How much h...

Re: Customer Support

Post the question on here and we'll find someone who can help or find someone closer to the RPF who can help. Then would you be willing to take another look at my problem to see who can help me with my specific problem? It gives me waiting for /dev/ to be populated and then I/O errors after which i...

Re: Customer Support

If you're refering to my other topic, yes rpidom helped me to get my SD card working in Windows again, but nobody has been able to help me with my Pi problem. Rattus told me to dmesg and share the results and nobody replied to the results I posted. Then he told me that the not-lit red light could me...

Re: Customer Support

Yes I've seen that. I was just curious if there's a place I could ask staff a technical question if it's something that can't be found in the forums or stackoverflow.

Re: What's up with the PiStore?

I had updated and upgraded before launching the store. I reinstalled the OS several times because of... the drama I described in a different topic. But now that I installed it I updated and upgraded again and at this time I still can't find OpenArena in the Pi store. Not untill I download it with ap...

Re: RPI 2 (sometimes) not booting

Do you also happen to get waiting for dev to be populated and i/o errors?

And yeah 2A is plenty, but some cheaper adapters don't always delivee what they promise.

Re: A few RPI2 problems.

Fantastic. A new symptom If I use the reboot command it will give me a much higher chance of I/O errors. So far about 66% of the time this happens. (Normal boots still work 80% of the time) It's going back to the store tomorrow. Will let you guys know if the new Pi works properly. Edit: In case some...

Re: What's up with the PiStore?

Thanks that helped. However I'm still very confused why you have to do apt-get install openarena (to install a non-working version of Open Arena) before you can find and download Open Arena in the pi store. Why would they make it so hard to find an app in the Pi Store? How do I find out what softwar...

Re: A few RPI2 problems.

So it doesn't boot 55-60% of the time but now it boots 80% of the time with the short Asus Tablet cable. Is this normal? I still get I/O errors after it hangs @ 'waiting for /dev/ to be fully populated' Can somebody tell me if this is an SD card related thing? It's seems very possible to me that aft...

Re: A few RPI2 problems.

Nope the problem is still here. What do you guys think I should do next? Also... If there is a low-power problem. Does it h'ave to be the adapter? Or can it be the Pi or even something else? Should I try something else or go back to the store a third time and return the Pi? Yaaaaaaaay it's working f...

Re: Windows Ten Build

Can you guys actually download the Pi2 Win10 Zip file? I saw a link to it, but the page to which I got referred didn't actually have the file. Also is it really necessary to install W10 on my desktop in order to install it on the Pi? For me that's a no-go. ( This is the link I meant. I can filter on...

Re: A few RPI2 problems.

A little more detailed information If the square is there for like a second or slightly longer it hangs up at 'Waiting for /dev to be populated' and then it starts with the stuff I posted in my first post. The I/O errors and everything. However if the square is gone after half a second it proceeds t...

Re: A few RPI2 problems.

But after using it in the Pi once I can néver use it again as I could use it before? Yes you can. You just need to repartition and format it so Windows can see the whole card. :) But, like I posted before, formatting doesn't work and Windows can't repartition it. I can only delete the large second ...

Re: A few RPI2 problems.

It disappeared pretty quickly, but it kept looping the same errors I usually get when it doesn't boot. So it seems that at a certain crucial point it didn't have enough power and it couldn't read certain sectors of the SD card and when the power is back to normal it keeps trying and trying to read t...

Re: A few RPI2 problems.

'Good news everyone!' I get rainbow-squares in the corner while booting before I get the errors. I think that's new... which is weird... but it's possible that I just missed it. It's very unlikely that you miss it every single time, because I was paying attention to that kinda stuff, but you never k...

And I could actually log in! I didn't try, but it's better then usual.
Any idea of this is related to my usual problem?

So I went back to the store. I called earlier and he mentioned that a better cable might work. Yea it's the only thing that could be a problem at this point I think... Where did you read that the power light is not lit? It's lit all the time. Usb Lead is good quality, but it is 6 feet long. I just started it a few times again and of course just when you're trying to do some troubleshooting it keeps booting.
