Re: GStreamer 1.0

I'm still hitting the same problem though. So, where or what is gstreamer-egl-1.0, and how do I get it installed? . That's my current problem. I'm now confused. Have you used my script for this build or just selected parts of it? Are there any other changes that you did as part of your previous bui...

Re: Raspi-config

Hi Hope not a stupid question, but I have a new Pi (Managed to cook the last one!!!!!). I want to use the old SD card which is loaded as I want it to be in the new Pi, or do I need to dig the HDMI lead/keyboard etc and run raspi-config on the new Pi? Were the changes I made on the dead Pi (when bef...

Re: Camera module stream in a web browser

@fbutler: On Chrome, the VLC plugin has controls (for me anyway). Thanks, I was talking about further controls being developed by people to talk back to the Pi from the webpage to start and stop the raspivid program etc. This would seem to be a logical progression for functionality on such a webpage.

Re: Camera module stream in a web browser

Using a combination of the info from Leo White and some HTML, it's possible to embed the camera module stream inside a web-page. You basically use the VLC web browser plugin and the <OBJECT> tag. I've written it up on my blog: http://www.recantha.co.uk/blog/?p=4165 Nice. Do you know if anyone has s...

Re: Web Cam "chopping"

What does rpi-update do that is not already done with sudo apt-get upgrade? The last time I did the upgrade command all the boot files including the kernel.img were updated (May 14). As far as I am aware rpi-update (with no options) will still upgrade the kernel to the latest "bleeding edge" kernel...

Re: GStreamer 1.0

I had to use this to build gst-plugins-bad : make CFLAGS+="-I/usr/include/schroedinger -Wno-error" otherwise it can't find schro.h file. I had no issues with compiling gst-plugins-bad without that. Here's an excerpt for my build log for the make: make -C schroedinger make[3]: Entering directory `/h...

Re: Web Cam "chopping"

Meanwhile, I made a swift preview of the command and saw that it is script in fact, which (as much as I could see) builds new kernel image. It seems better than compiling kernel manually, from source. And regarding my camera issue, I noticed from task manager that CPU usage is 99- 100 %, during Cam...

I had the same problem and solved it with sudo raspistill -o image.jpg You shouldn't need to run the camera commands as root. It looks like there are permission errors due to where you are in the directory structure when you run the command. You must have write permissions to the directory where yo...

The matter was already talked about, but I din't notice some conclusion. It is about Web Camera that I found to produce noticable "chopping". Does Rasbian Wheezy support this usage of the ln command ? The man entry for ln just says systems which don't support creation of symbolic links give an error message and that's it. e.g. sudo ln -s /opt/media-berry/server/media-berry-server media-berry-server returns ln: failed to create symbolic l...
