Will there ever be any more merchandise? :(
The merchandise page has now been re-launched with more products. See http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/3967

Sweetbox II ScorPi. First Camera Mount?

This is the first Pi Camera arm mount that I have seen:

Is it just me or does it remind anyone else of a Martian fighting machine from War of the Worlds? :)

Re: My Camera arrived today... what now?

The raspicam progams do, but motion can't use stdin as its camera input - gstreamer might be able to? Ahh, I didn't know that about Motion. Good to know. I can confirm that you can pipe stdout into a gstreamer pipeline using a pipeline starting with: ./capture -c 100000 -o | gst-launch-1.0 -v -e fi...

Re: My Camera arrived today... what now?

With a bit of lateral thinking: Gstreamer (and motion for that matter) can use ip cameras as input, - you can make a "local ip camera" out of the raspicam Basically by using the raspistill command as a cgi script on apache running on pi, http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=43844&...

Re: Any in UK get there's from CPC ?

Nothing yet.
I got an email at 6.26am yesterday confirming the order, and status changed to complete yesterday afternoon.
Being an optimist maybe it will turn up in the next couple of hours. :)
If not, then hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.

I want to grab 10 frames for second. Without x264 I can send the live as jpeg images stream quickly but with x264 less than 1 image for second. Here's a little utility I wrote for capturing and encoding to h264. It's based on the v4l2 capture program and the hello_encode program: http://www.trans-o...

Re: CSI camera module

I was under the impression that all sites were supposed to be limiting to 1 per customer - but that's obviously been 'forgotten' by some of them. CPC must have been reminded... Yeah, both the CPC and RS ordering processes let you order multiple cameras and there is no statement on any of their page...

Thanks for this tip! It's just stopped again and it seems its deadlocked inside ilclient_get_input_buffer. Just wondered if you'd seen this before? Full backtrace is below. Its probably also worth mentioning that when I set the webcam to 5 fps using v4l2-ctl --set-parm 5 then I just get select timeout errors I think I've found the issue. I've been testing using a 3.8.6 kernel. When I reverted back to a 3.6.11 kernel this morning I also got the select timeout errors. I...

OK, I'll take a look at that but at this point I can't see why that would make a difference. I probably won't get a chance to look at it until sometime during next week.
