Re: run on startup

This will run a program on boot, not after X loads. I'm not sure how you would do that. :oops:

Try this:
1.

Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/rc.local
2. Before the exit 0 line type up the command you want executed. For example,

Code: Select all

python3 /home/pi/test.py
3. That's it!
Hope this helps.

Kodi Web Browser

I have a question. Is there a reliable browser for Kodi/OpenELEC? If so, how do you install it? Thanks!

Old Camera Screen

Odd question:

Instead of buying a little screen for my pi, I was wondering if you could use an old camera screen with the pi as a screen. I don't really wan't to rip a camera apart to see if it has a DSI connector attached to it, so any help would be very helpful. Thanks!

Re: Ubuntu MATE 15.10 for Raspberry Pi 2

GREAT!!! Now it works. Here's how to fix it: 1. Plug your SD card into a computer 2. It should show up as PI_BOOT 3. Open PI_BOOT 4. Find and open the config.txt file 5. Change hdmi_drive=2 to hdmi_drive=1 6. Save the file and eject the SD card 7. It should be fixed! All credit goes to neo2001 for p...

Re: Ubuntu MATE 15.10 for Raspberry Pi 2

I hate to be a sore tooth, but I have a problem. Here's what I did: 1. I downloaded the Ubuntu MATE 15.10 for raspberry pi 2 from the European CDN on this website: http://ubuntu-mate.org/raspberry-pi/ 2. I unzipped it with no errors 3. I first tried writing it to an SD card with my pi by using: sudo...

Re: First reading of pressure sensor always 0

My situation is the same except, if I run the code again, it works just fine. Just the pressure sensor does this. For me, I don't need to reboot for it to work correctly, just run it again. My personal theory is this: I think the pressure sensor just needs "to wake up". (we all know this can be diff...

Re: How to Measure Speed

One more question: how do you measure acceleration?
This is how I've been getting data from the accelerometer:

Code: Select all

from sense_hat import SenseHat
sense = SenseHat()
print(sense.accelerometer)
but how do I measure acceleration?

Thanks for all the help! :D

How to Measure Speed

I noticed on the sense-hat page for the swag store (and a few others) it said: The Sense HAT supports a whole host of projects for the Raspberry Pi, it can measure how fast is the Pi itself travelling (i.e. measure your speed)... Here's the link: http://swag.raspberrypi.org/collections/frontpage/pro...

Re: What WiFi adapter should I get?

The Edimax wifi adapter is working great for me! It is under $10, and connects right away. It works with a windows machine as well. I always turn off my pi before plugging it in, as the wifi adapter sucks a lot of juice. However, after I upgraded to a MUCH better power supply, I could plug it while ...

Re: ethernet not working no matter what image i use (solved)

Hey, here's how I solved this problem:

1. Turn off your pi (sudo halt)
2. Unplug your router
3. Plug in your router
4. Wait about 2 minutes
5. Turn on your pi
6. If it still doesn't work try:
sudo ifdown eth0 && sudo ifup eth0
7. That's it! :ugeek:

The pi correctly connects to the wifi network, but after about a day or so, it doesn't connect. LAN works just fi...
