Re: How can I change my wallpaper on OpenELEC ?

You would probably need to make your own skin. I don't think it is possible to just change it like on Windows...

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

Kratos, Does Npvr not come loaded in the new Kodi 17? This might seem like an odd question but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thank you for the awesome work on this build. I have not built it yet. If you want it, it will be no problem for me to build it quick. Then, you can install the pvr stuff...

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

Latest Kodi 17 build. I tried some thing a bit different this time, which allowed me to enable optimizations. Give it a shot!

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

The library works!! :D Congratulations! What was it, in the end? Still messing about with it at the moment; had a few random crashes, which i didn't seem to be getting on the previous version, though... I've turned off all the eye-candy and it seems more stable. The solution was in the link you pro...

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

Great! Kodi 16 is cooking in the Pi Bakery at the moment, should be done any minute now. Try install libcec like so:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install libcec3
That might do the trick.

Here is Kodi 17! I have not had a chance to do any others yet. Tell me if you have the same problems. Remember to remove your current Kodi version.

Re: A picture from The Pi Hut

It seems to me that whenever a new product comes out, the first thing people do is complain about the price. Truly an awesome add to the board! Now my debate is whether to buy a pi3 or Pi0.

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

Nice one! Probably moot if you've got it working, but this seems to indicate that the library issue is due to the compiler; MATE 16.04 on pi has gcc 5 it appears? Looking forward to trying the new builds :) Thanks for the link! Will check it out and see what I can do. And yes, I believe it is gcc 5...

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

Hi everybody. I've been testing Kratos (thanks Kratos!) packages for Kodi Jarvis on a fresh Ubuntu Mate 16.04 installation (via berryboot, converting the official image to SquashFS following berryboot instructions). Unfortunately, just like reported by other users, i can't add tv shows or movies to...

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

Yep - it's rum alright. I even tried creating the library on a windows install, exporting it then importing it into yours… no dice, unfortunately. I guess having the library enabled requires kodi to configure quite a bit to get skin integration etc. Will keep googling, though :) (but not tonight - ...

Pi 3 CPU Fan

Hey everyone! I am looking for a small fan, one that fits directly on top a heat sink for the Pi 3 CPU. I plan on powering it by the GPIO pins. I am not too concerned about noise, but I do want the fan to be small enough to just fit on the heat sink. Any recommendations? Concerns? Links? Thanks! Kra...

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

AHA! Could you install libcec on your system.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install libcec
I am not sure, but it looks like that is the issue...

Kratos[/s]

Scratch that.

Your log says:

Code: Select all

Program terminated with signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
I have no idea why though...

Re: Kodi on Ubuntu MATE 15.10

Thanks a lot for all your testing! I took a look at your log file, and it seems as if it is a Kodi 17 bug. All your dependencies were installed. I think it must just be a Kodi 17 bug, but I am not sure. As far as the black screen bug lasso thing, I have had this happen on Raspbian Jessie a few times...

Black screen bug fix: 1. Create a startkodi script sudo nano startkodi 2. It seems that you need these dependencies installed:

Code: Select all

libmicrohttpd10 libmysqlclient-dev libtinyxml-dev libpcrecpp0v5
Tell me if you have issues. :D
