Re: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lockups

Mine can run memtester (sudo MEMTESTER_TEST_MASK=0x1000 memtester 128M) for - last try - 4 and a half hours before rebooting (default clockings). Let it run on default clockings since this morning, quite stable. Therefore I took a closer look to the config ==> Is this schmoo-Setting default? Didn’t ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lockups

Regarding shipping boxes: probably not relevant. You can read on some of the posts above (page 5 or 6) those boxes are okay related to anti static functions. I don‘t think this is an issue. But hey how really knows, remember the flash of death on one of the last Pi‘s (I think series 2)? Hardware‘s t...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lockups

Good for you, no luck for me. Even with... over_voltage_sdram_p=3 over_voltage_sdram_i=3 ...my Pi rebooted this morning (08:06) and now (13:13) once again. I‘m totally done with that crappy piece of hardware. Anyone interested in analyzing it? I‘ll send it to anyone who‘ll cover my expenses (price: ...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lockups

Hi, just my two cents: after running stable for two days with only sdram freq set to 450 I now spent some time with memchecker and over voltage and no "underclocking" (everything else default): over_voltage_sdram_p=3 over_voltage_sdram_i=3 [ Don´t know if "..._c" (so all three) also needs to be set....

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lockups

According to the (very very helpful) information from https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=208821&start=125 it SHOULD run stable with everything at default (so arm freq = 1400 and sdram = 500) but adjusting the sdram overvoltage), right? While I‘m trying this this evening (pi currently...

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lockups

There‘s the same offer from James on the GitHub issue here (https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/is ... -379260285), in my opinion we should use those chances to therefore help the experts to investigate, probably fix and in the end help us (affected) users.

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lockups

I also suffer from a very instable system (talking about having sporadic reboots, mostly initiated by watchdog, maybe one to four a day during the last week). I tried several config.txt settings: (OKAY) with "arm_freq=1200" and "sdram_freq=450" --> system was running very stable - but also not very ...

Re: Request for memtester results [Raspberry Pi 2]

Hi, I have serious issues with my Pi 2 for a few months, after it ran for about 140 days without any problem or a reboot. Services (e. g. SAMBA, PHP5-FPM, Webmin or - the worst, because having corrupted idb files is a lot of work to restore SQL backups - MySQL) stop working, but systemctl tells stat...

Re: Shortcuts in LXTerminal!

You seem to have an unusually small .bashrc, have you also changed your .profile so that it doesn't source .bashrc? If so then .bashrc won't be processed (and hence neither will .bash_aliases) when bash is started as a login shell (i.e. when you ssh in). To be honest: I know nothing about .profile ...

Re: Shortcuts in LXTerminal!

Unfortunately it does not work (running on Raspbian = Debian Jessie). Whenever a new SSH session is opened, there is no alias anymore. So it is NOT PERMANENT :( Any ideas?!? I have: -rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi 89 Aug 21 17:30 .bash_aliases -rw------- 1 pi pi 15K Aug 21 17:37 .bash_history -rw-r--r-- 1 pi pi ...

Re: Command line shortcut to run Python script.

The other method is to set up a command alias alias myscript="sudo python /home/pi/scripts/myscript.py but that will only last until you log out again. Make it permanent by creating a file called .bash_aliases Then logout and in again and when you type "alias" you should see your command. pi@raspi3...

Re: How to upgrade a Wheezy image to Jessie

Note for those following this guide: Don't copy and paste the instructions to type into the terminal for after the first boot. Or if you do, make sure you edit them so that whenever you see a long '-' replace it with the standard minus symbol. So... cp –ax /usr/share/themes/PiX ~/.themes sudo rm /e...

Thanks! It helped a lil bit... made a comparison; I´m only missing the ejecter.so. Can you send it over to me? Would save me a lot of time (downloading Raspbian Jessie image, installing it in a VM, grabbing the file, ...) Anyway, I´m making no progress on this... :( I think I will take a deeper look...

1) No I was using Mist.
2) I don´t have the PIX, which is one of my problems posted above... :( How to install it?
3) Same on Clearlooks, so you were right.
4) Using Adwaita for the moment, working with my "black application(s)" - thx! :)

Same here on jessie. For VNC the (permanent) solution for the same problem was:

GUI issues after Upgrade from wheezy to jessie

I used the inofficial guide of this forum for upgrading. After upgrading I´m asking myself how to check if the new GUI (GTK v3.0?) is already in use. Problem: I have e.g. Synaptics Package Manager which is almost completely black when running. It worked (nice new GUI) for some time meanwhile, but af...
