Because off a corrupted SD card I reinstalled everything on my RPI. It worked out fine. I only have two questions I can not solve: - QUESTION 1: Remove user PI. If I use sudo userdel pi -r There are still some PI-user processes running pi is currently used by process 1268. I did change the standard ...

Jessie half installed

More then a year ago I tried to change wheezy to Jessie on a running system. That worked fine I thought. Because I only use SSH to communicate I didn't recognize the desktop was not changed. Last week I tried to make a clone of my SD card using SD card copier from the desktop. Then I recognized that...

How to clone SD without Win32Diskimager on RPI

My SD card crashed some time ago. I thought no problem because I had made a backup IMG by Win32Diskimager. Wrong thought, because my new SD is slightly smaller and the image is not fitting. I'm looking for a method to clone my SD card to an USB connected SD card straight on the RPI. I tried : sudo d...

Re: SD error not enough sectors to replace image

Thanks again for this help.
The image itself is to big to copy to my new SD card, missing some Mb's.

Is it also possible to connect a USB HD with the image on it to my RPI and use your programm?

Thanks for the help. Unfortunitly I do not run a desktop with Linux Imbelevable how difficult it looks like to make just a clone/ backup of a RPI SD card. SD error not enough sectors to replace image

I had a problem that my SD 16Gb card was broken. I bought a new 16GB SD card and tried to replace the image by Win32Diskimager. This is generating an error saying not enough sectors to install image (there is a small difference between image and SD). How can I still get the image on the SD??? Please...
