Re: Design Case for the Raspberry Pi

I hope also to receive as soon as possible my Pi board!!

I made a demonstration video (available in HD) of my first strong case for the Raspberry Pi.

It shows the opening and closing system of my Pi case.

Re: Design Case for the Raspberry Pi

<t>I will post some picture of the "real case" this week. But I printed it at work and it's not a good 3D printer (dimension 1200es). So the aspect is not very nice but it's enough to judge the mechanical aspect of the case.<br/> <br/> By the way, on shapeways 3D printers technology is different and...

Just a picture of my new case optimized for a cheaper cost on 3D printers and also compatible for injection molding machine.

Available soon on shapeways!

I will post other pictures of my case this week-end (If I have some free time!)

Re: Berry Box - The Transparent Case

In france some companies can realise matrix for injection molding just for 1500euros.

it's not expensive to create a simple matrix for a Raspberry case.

After you need to add money for the power and raw material.

I can remove the Pi hole but, the case needs some holes on the top in order to dissipate the heat generated by the Raspberry Pi when it's in operation.

I"m working on an another version with less material volume in order to have a cheaper price. This project will be fully injectable in plastic.

Just for fun:

In principle, the Raspberry PCB will be firmly hold to the buttom case. So you will able to open and close the case with the Raspberry board always attached to inferior part of the case.

Re: Beta Boards mechanical data

Does anyone have a correct drawing of the board (with correct dimensions) in format .stp, .stl or dwg. A format compatible to solidworks?

I try to design a case for the Raspberry but I just need a correct board to finalize my work.

Thanks
