Re: Pi2 Jessie: Best configuration for genral home use

Did you investigate kweb it incorporates most of what you are using into one package: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=40860 I like kweb and is a possible solution, but chromium is so slick. plus i think just using youtube-dl in a terminal window is foolproof and even with a slow ...

now tempted to get a pi3 in the hope youtube runs better, the other option is to get youtube-dl and download the videos first and run them in desktop omxplayer version Or use Raspbian's native browser Epiphany for Youtube, and Chromium 48 for everything else. epiphany cant play youtube full screen ...

Will the pi3 be powerful enough to run a webrowser which can cope with heavy java/ javascript pages.
If it can do that , you will sell loads.

Re: Mass Hysteria comes to raspberrypi.org

i almost agree by the time you have added usb hub, hdmi convertor, usb sound output dongle, you have something much bigger and more expensive than a pi2.

its main use i think will be as a replacement for an arduino, i.e. embedded inside electronic projects

Re: Pi PWM Audio Output - Moving the Pin

Hello everyone, I know the subject already abandoned i need unfiltered audio. Since GPIO40-45 are directly connected to RCA circuit, i would like to change pwm0-1(right audio and left audio) through other GPIO (for ex. GPIO 12-13 has alt0 function correspondingly pwm0 and pwm1) But i have already t...

Re: Meet Raspberry Pi Zero: the $5 computer

wot no sound output?????????????????????? looks like a simple filter using resistors and capacitors can be used to convert the pwm sound out to analogue audio. but there is a load of space on the pi zero for big holes in each corner which are not needed, they could have easily added some audio out p...

note: feeding mains voltage into a diy electronic project is dangerous. had a look at the diagram, i dont see a thermostat, a hall thermostat would make a big difference and stop the house getting too hot if you just have a simple timer controlling the boiler, a good idea would be having it replaced...

PI2 fitted inside a ZX Spectrum case with working keyboard

Video of my zx spectrum upgraded to a pi2 internals. Arduino nano connects to keyboard membrane and gives normal usb pc output. Only 2 usb ports visible in expansion slot, but wifi dongle is soldered direct to pi2 inside case. So 2 free usb ports should be fine https://youtu.be/XHVSiyZAQHg Thanks to...

Re: Diy Octocore dual screen mega PI2 PC

Ideally would like a script on each pi which can detect mouse position i.e if cursor moved fully to right on first screen it would flip the kvm switch over . Same on second screen if mouse is moved fully to left kvm is switched again.

Re: Diy Octocore dual screen mega PI2 PC

Thanks for info, but i dont see why you think a single display kvm is not what im looking for.
Was going to connect each pi directly to its own monitor.
kvm was only going to swap keyboard and mouse,
pis could share the same power supply.

Diy Octocore dual screen mega PI2 PC

Was wondering if this would work 2 monitors and 2 Pi2 each connected to a monitor via 2 hdmi cables A KVM sharing just the keyboard and mouse Some kvm have a button which switch between output, in theory would it be possible to use the gpio pins to control the KVM switch i.e via a relay. So that you...

Re: Very basic score board

Arduino may be simpler and more suited to this electronic project. See example below If you want to design your own you will need a microcontroller (i.e. Arduino) Lots of big bright Leds, plus some multiplexer chips, i.e. Arduino will not have enough output pins to control every combination of leds ...
