Re: Fullscreen hi res Youtube on PIXEL mod

note you can use -f best (instead of -f 22) in the script to get the best youtube resolution available.

-f 22 will default to 720p , not all vids (i.e. older ones) will have a 720p option and will fail

Fullscreen hi res Youtube on PIXEL mod

This allows you to watch youtube videos in hi res in full screen , using chromium or any other browser. It works as follows, you open chromium (or any browser) and browse to youtube, you copy the link of the video you wish to watch (i.e. right click mouse and copy), then you move the mouse to the to...

Re: Introducing PIXEL desktop: new Raspbian release

Its nice, well done, chromium rules, youtube works well.
what would be a good additon would be a simple overclock app,
so you could overclock pi 3 and class 10sd cards.

Re: Guide: Chromium 51 on Raspbian Jessie

Another soultion would be to have a script constantly running in background which checks if the clipboard contains a youtube link, if it does it then pops up a dropdown box asking how you want to play the video i.e 1: 720p 2: 480p 3: Download. Etc The problem with the existinng soultions , they make...

Re: A stable browser

Would be good if foundation installed Chromium 50 on the Pi 2 and Pi 3 rasbian images.

I know its probably not going to happen, but its madness when Chromium 50 runs so well ,
it would boost sales if people could see the pi at its full potential.

Am fairly sure omxplayer does not support usb audio.

A usb dac makes the pi a great yotube music player.

Default pi audio is poor compared to a usb dac

I will give the chromium youtube dl fix a go In kweb it gave me problems, but it was a long time ago so i cant remember the details. Yes i disabled the media flag. 360p is the best i can watch, Which is fine for me. I dont like the rpi youtube dl idea, ive tried it with kweb and found it hit and miss. It would be good to know what the advantage of 51 is over 50. It could be every new version of chromium goes slightly slower than ...

Chromimum 50 playing youtube videos at 720p in browser.
Maybe but i am guessing lot and lots of dropped frames.
On my pi3 on chromium 50 i can only watch 360p in a non maximized window for a smooth frame rate

Re: Is this a good portable battery system for the R-Pi3

I think the power bank should be ok. For my pi 3 and 10 inch lcd screen i use two ravpower 6700 mah power banks. One for the pi 3, which takes about 800m amps The other is for the 10 inch screens driver, this will not work from 5v from the power bank, so i boost the voltage to 6v using a little volt...

i think 3amps is needed, since that will be the max it can supply but only for a short period, so if it says 3amps you can assume it can do 1.5 amps no problem without burning up the one you have does not have any large components on it, so may only be capable of 1 amp continous this one below may b...
