Re: USB to Canon camera - stops working after waking up came

Still not having any luck - tried with and without a usb hub. Doesnt make any difference.

When the camera goes to sleep:

Code: Select all

[ 111.172690] usb 1-1.2: USB disconnect, device number 4
After waking up the camera - its not detected :(

USB to Canon camera - stops working after waking up camera?

I've hooked my Pi up to a Canon 600d camera. Running lsusb detects the camera and then using gphoto2 to take a pic. All working great. The problem is after the camera goes to sleep, I press a button to wake it up but then the Pi no longer detects it as a usb device. Nothing under lsusb. I've have a ...

R-Pi running Windows/Netware 3.12

There are a good few posts here on getting Windows 95/XP etc running on the Pi. Thought I'd spend some time messing around and got Windows 1.01, 2.1, 2.11, 3.1, 95 working on the Pi under qemu. Windows 1.01 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cGdPwgmATc Windows 2.1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ry6Ri...

Re: Win95 on real Raspi

Try to run configure again before make and after editing the file. I always edit the file before anything else! Thanks. That solved the issue. I am now having another problem. I am accessing the RPI via Xming. Ive compiled qemu successfully but when I try and run it I get Could not initialize SD: (...

Re: Win95 on real Raspi

I am following the steps from here:

And I get this error on make (after editing the 2 files)

Code: Select all

Re: Pi boot confusion

Tried pressing on the card - didn't make any difference.

Now is where is gets even stranger. I left it overnight running on the Pi-2. This morning I shutdown and put the card back in the original and it boots fine.

Pi boot confusion

I've had a pi running for months now with raspbmc - all working fine. This morning is dead in the water - I reboot and only the red pwr light comes one. I've now taken the sd card and put it in a different pi (Pi-2) and it boots fine so I thought the pi is fried. I then take the sd card from Pi-2 (r...

sudo reboot not working?

My pi has been running for about a year now as a weather station and on it I schedule a weekly reboot with sudo /sbin/reboot For the last few week now after the reboot kicks in the pi reboots but doesn't seem to startup again. I need to pull the power and then it starts up normally. I have also now ...

Re: no space left on a 32gb sd card

Even if the partitions were ext4 - SD formatter will trash all the partitons when you select clear size format or something like that under options.

Whats reporting no space left?

If all the partitions were removed and reformated then its impossible that there is no space left.

Re: no space left on a 32gb sd card

Download SD formatter and reset card size and reformat.

Chances are the card has got linux partitions on it and you are viewing the card under windows which doesn't see the partitions.

Re: Learning Networking

Getting more pi's will not help. If you want to know more about networks the best place to start is with the internet & google and spend some time reading. Here are a few links to get you started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_network http://www.cisco.com/cisco/web/UK/solutions/small_busines...

Is the default gateway on the pi set correctly? And you are SSH'ing to the IP address (not the loopback?)

Re: Need help with first project...

I've had a look at the original code and am not not sure why it would turn off - you haven't told it to .

Try adding this to the last line:

Code: Select all

GPIO.output(25, GPIO.LOW)

Re: Can't connect to raspberry while it uses 3G

Where are you trying to putty from?

Also what IP does the 3G modem assign to the adapter. I've seen some providers assign private IP's but then this is NAT'd on their side to a public IP.

Re: Ping website and log date-time when unavailable

I'm using this code - if it failed to ping a site it restarts the nic, then the wlan, then reboot. I modded it to ping my local router. I can't take credit for the code - I found it somewhere on the net. Forget the location. It should help you out #!/usr/bin/python #sudo ifdown --force wlan0 #sudo i...

Re: Need help with first project...

A few errors there. You did not include the location of python. Add this to the first line:

Code: Select all

#!/usr/bin/python
Or else you need to run it with
sudo python light.py
Also remember its case sensitive. It should be

Code: Select all

print "code started..."

I'v put together a weather station that has temp, pressure, light, humidity, wind speed, uvi, rainfall, rel humidity and initial I uploaded the data to Cosm, then changed it to thingspeak. I've now just changed it to log to a internal MySQL database as I wasn't happy with thingpseak either. Data is ...
