Re: video modes? colour depth/resolution/aspect ratio/refresh, etc...

<t>There are some cheap HD to VGA adapters. But those require that your screen resolution and refresh rates have to be very specific and your VGA monitor usually has to support some weird refresh rates. They're just cables with a couple of resistors and look pretty bad. The expensive ones have a chi...

Re: Competition

<t>To go along with what @jamesh said this is a niche product. That like saying because because the Arduino is so popular that its components doubled in price. It just didn't happen. Also while the Ras-Pi is getting a lot of press now, after the first week there will be a huge drop off on orders.<br...

Re: Request: Serial Port

It would be nice is a standard serial could be added. Or at least the pins so I could plug in a serial port. That way I could interface to some micrcontroller projects without have to get a USB adapter.

Re: Lower Power Mode?

<t>Will the RasPi hardware support a low power mode? Or would that be the function of the OS?<br/> <br/> This kinda goes along with the power supply thread. I wanted to set up a webcam to shoot nature photo over the course of a couple of 2-3 months. It would be power by an RV battery and a trickle s...
