Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

script.js and script_min.js contain dedicated functions for this project. You can't replace them with jQuery.

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

The new update works, but what suddenly changed is that the 'Night' setting doesn't give a good exposed image any more. This must be due to the RaspCam Web Interface as it worked with the previous update but now doesn't any more and I didn't update the firmware in between. It also didn't work with t...

@poing: I'm sorry if you lost any data. But please note my comment on my first post, above all installation instructions: Here are the instructions to run my installer. Warning: The installer will replace various files, so backup all your data. I changed the installer a little bit, so it doesn't de...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@silvanmelchior: One thing I don't like *at all* about your present install script is that it silently(!!!) removes all the files from the /var/www folder! Some people use their Pi for other web activities than only your setup. I would go even further and suggest you put your project in a separate f...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Works for me. About the wide FOV video, I think 1296x976 is it for now as it is straight 2x2 binning and I recall jamesh thinking upscaling to 1080p after the fact gives the same quality as doing it directly in the gpu. Although that outlook might have changed. I think if you can create video record...

Re: Permanently turn AWB off

Hmm. I'll have a word with the AWB experts to see what is actually possible. Just for my reference, questions to all those asking for AWB changes.. 1) What wrong with the current system? 2) What additional features do you want? To be able to make accurate images, where you know the light level and ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

You should make it save to the ram disk (/run/shm or something I think, forgot the exact name) for otherwise you'll wear out the SD card with too many writes.

I think something changed in raspistill/vid itself, not so much in raspimjpeg. I too get less night exposure.

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Sounds to me it's not really an 'add-on pack' if it removes original functionality. Form over function, not my cup of tea. Creating a video should be easy with ffmpeg; Why not figure out the proper command and then I can easily put it in the TimeLapse function ;-) Another thing I'm planning on is to...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

In script.js there's an if-block that starts with: "if(ajax_status.responseText == "ready") {" which is executed every time an action has been completed. My guess is to launch a php page from there that looks for videos to be uploaded. The jpegs shown in the browser come from the preview of the vide...

I would like to have a button on the web interface to reboot my Pi (to restart RaspiMJPEG in case it has crashed for some reason). Is this possible? I would be grateful if someone could give me an indication about how to do this. Many thanks. Can anyone help me with the above? Many thanks. First yo...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I have the same issue with one of my Pies. I'm almost sure it has to do with the power; I have an original model B with poly fuses and I suspect these have been degraded over time as it used to work fine with the camera. If you have a recent model you can try backfeeding it through the USB port or w...

Many thanks, that works perfectly to add a "Timelapse" capability. Great! Here's an improved (and tested) version with auto stop after a configurable time with a visible countdown timer. Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@robm99: You can add the javascript-command setInterval("send_cmd('im');", 1000) to the web-Interface for example to take a picture every second. RaspiMJPEG itself hasn't implemented timelapse at the moment. Thanks for that. Perhaps a silly question, but how would you then stop the system taking a ...

Re: IR/non-IR mode software-switch for camera?

The only difference is that the IR camera lacks a physical IR filter and thus also records (in normal photography unwanted) IR light. You can buy an IR block filter and have that move in front of the lens by a servo.

Re: Problems with AWB and night shot

My guess is you have to use a long -t value like -t 10000 (ten seconds). In this period the camera decides on exposure by taking frames and analyzing them. If you have a shutter speed of 1 second -t 10000 will have 10 frames to decide, if you use -t 1000 only one frame, which is too short. If you ta...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

The banding you describe, visible in Auto but not in Night, is the exact same as I had. With me it started gradually after a few hours until in the end the SD card got corrupted. Not sure what causes it, but I doubt it's net frequency as I never seen it before with the same Pi in the past month. My ...
