Re: SD card locked

OK, Had a look at your card this morning and it looks like the temporary write protect bit is set on the SDCard... Don't know how that has happened but that's what it looks like! Am going to look for a method of resetting that bit and then see if I can find how it got set! Gordon Hi Gordon, Did you...

Oh! That makes so much more sense! One last question. Where do the red and black wires attached to the Out +/- on the voltage regulator go to? Again I really appreciate you taking the time to answer all of my questions. I am learning a lot just from this project and have been having a blast doing i...

Re: HOWTO: Install Kodi on Raspbian

Hi,
Kodi now installs and works very well with no further tweaking.
It will now even play h265 (HEVC) video at up to 1080p (1920x1080) at quite a reasonable quality, even on a Pi2!
simply do :-

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kodi
Thanks to everyone involved in making this possible.
Kevin.

Re: Pi-Portable & or Monitor.

Hi, I don't know about the jumper, if it should be 3.3v the damage has probably already been done, try asking the company you bought it from? The green light means the M-NT68676.2A is turned on and getting a HDMI signal, it would eventually go red if there was no signal and a message would breifly b...

Re: Kodi 15/16/17 Packages for Raspbian

Hi Rascus, If it is possible, would you be able to re-build your Kodi 17.3 with the latest ffmpeg. (ffmpeg: update to ffmpeg-3.3.1-Leia-Alpha shown here https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=298461&pid=2601233#pid2601233) as this should give the latest 8 bit HEVC optimisations and from Doms comme...

Re: Kodi 15/16/17 Packages for Raspbian

Good news Rascas, It's good that your build has been noticed; appreciated and now included in the standard Raspbian repo. :-) I for one hope that you will be able to keep it maintained and working with Raspbian. I have found that h265 (HEVC) works very well at 1280x720 (720p) using almost any qualit...

Hi Kevin, Great post and huge thanks for all the help you are providing. I've managed to build something similar and now want to wire an old laptop speaker to the control board. Re: Pi-Portable & or Monitor.

Hi, I have some questions: 1. On power supply it is written that 12V - 36V. Whether it means, what if to connect the standarty power unit 20V on a payment of nothing will burn down? 2. There the undervoltage block is added. Where the red wire is connected? 3. I wanted in the easy, modern laptop to ...

Re: Pi-Portable & or Monitor.

I've just received my M.NT68676.2 LCD controller + inverter etc. to resurrect an old LTN170WX-L05 panel. I forgot about the power supply (oops), so tried it with a 12VDC 1.5A plug pack I had on hand - it worked! The plug pack didn't feel hot afterwards, but I'm not sure it's sufficient for 24/7 usa...

Re: HOWTO: Move the filesystem to a USB stick/Drive

I used the 1st method before, but now I've realized I could actually use another drive sticked into my Rpi. I tried changing the dev/sda2 part in my cmdline.txt to PARTUUID (I tried both, the longer one (sudo gdisk) and the shorter one (sudo blkid)). I also changed the line from fstab. It wouldn't ...
