It would be nice to be able to somehow remotely connect to a Pi that has say CCTV on-board, so every now and again I could watch what is going on etc, rather than wait for something bad to happen and recover the video. Thats some very good ideas actually.. I think as a gamer I will try out some small game as I progress through these ideas and links etc, I play enough of them maybe its time to make, no matter how small it may be! Yes I've just downloaded that article and am going to have a read through it :) Thanks very much.

Does anyone have any ideas of what projects to use Python for? As learning is best when you create something etc, what should aim to create as a project etc
