Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi version 7.50

@preiter, I think it could be the usb dongle, can you swap it out or even better connect the pi via Ethernet (if only for elimination of the possible cause). When this happens is the pi IP listed on the router? On the Touch, can you see the pi when you use "Select player"? Also is the pi listed as a...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi version 7.50

Greetings and thanks for this great system. I have Squeezeplug installed on a Raspberry Pi model B and I have one issue with it. Periodically it will disconnect from my Logitech Media Server and does not automatically reconnect. I can still access the web config when this happens and can restart/re...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi version 7.50

@ atinkler Can't really remember (think it helps withany mp3 playback,ie saves any transcoding). It won't make any difference if you don't install it (and it can always be added if there are any problems) atb Ronnie. The original BBC iPlayer plugin from Triode has been updated now so I don't use the...

Re: New Complete Web-Based SqueezePlug Version Available

Adrian, you can try this:- (post is from another thread on this forum). Also, do you have a good power supply for the pi, look over on the crazy audio forums, but try this below first. atb ronnie by [IDC]Dragon » Fri Feb 06, 2015 5:42 pm Hi Richard, thanks for the pointer. Re: New Complete Web-Based SqueezePlug Version Available

Adrian, can you SSH in to the pi using root as user and max2play as password.

Then type squeezelite -l (that is letter L lower case)

This should give a list of output devices, there should be one (at least) for the hifiberry dac.

ps. are you in the UK (timewise)?

Re: New Complete Web-Based SqueezePlug Version Available

Ok, thanks for that, good to know. I was just trying to follow the Squeezeplug Max2Play instructions, and it says to configure the soundcard via the web interface. Just to be clear, is it not actually possible currently to configure the hifiberry digi card from the web interface? Thanks, Adrian[/quo...

Re: New Complete Web-Based SqueezePlug Version Available

Hi, I have a hifiberry Digi sound card, but it is not obvious on the Squeezelite settings page how I set this card up - I want to play out of the SPDIF electrical plug (not optical). Any suggestions on how I do this, or does it play out of there automatically? Thanks, Adrian They both work at the s...

Re: New Complete Web-Based SqueezePlug Version Available

Hi, in first post truehl recommends "iqaudio pi-dac+" as dac, and mentions raspberry (of course) as well as odroid u3 and c1 as SoC.. so my question is: iqaudio pi-dac+ is supported by odroid c1? I'm interested to build a bit-perfect box with a i2s dac, not using a raspberry* card, but a powerful o...

Re: TinyTOSLINK (digital audio output) now for B+, too

Sorry folks, I’m sold out for the B+ kind, have only a few rev. B boards left. The appearance of the Pi 2 board increased the demand for the newer board, while the guy I was PCB "ridesharing" with is currently too busy with life to take new orders. Me too, I have to reconsider how to proceed with t...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi version 7.50

Yes - the SP image just gave me the rainbow screen In fact - most of the images from the Raspberry Pi site wouldn't load initially, as I got my Pi2 next day delivery after the release date, so not all of them had been updated In the end I found the image on the RP site that did work, and then compa...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi version 7.50

This is from a post on another forum (ontWam Andrew). One needs another pi apparently, and perhaps a spare SD card, or a back up. I don't know if it will work so use at your own discretion and risk. Apparently some people did this with the previous Squeezeplug versions to enable them to work on the ...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi version 7.50

This post is a cobbled together one from the 'Wam forum and from this forum. It details a solution for installing the old version of SqueezePlug on the B+ . (Not with the Wolfson card, but it might work). I wondered if it might work for the current problems (as they seem the same). Good Luck atb Ron...

Re: TinyTOSLINK (digital audio output) now for B+, too

Jörg, The board arrived Wednesday last, thanks very much. I fixed it to a pi B+ with piCorePlayer image on the SD card. I found out that the drivers are supported in the HiFiBerry Digi for the B and B+. For the B+ I used … sysdefault:CARD=sndrpihifiberry …as output. Well it works, and as a bonus I f...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi version 7.50

As well as asking for support from Thomas, I hope folk with problems are also complaining to the board manufacturer about their apparent lack of interest in supplying/incorporating the necessary drivers for the 'pi kernel.
