Found it :)
For future reference: it's probably quicker to search the internet for the standard location of configuration files
Top hit for 'debian sshd_config location' has the correct location
Thanks for the tip

Re: SSH connection failure

Not knowing where to look in Debian Stretch I have just run

Code: Select all

find / sshd_config
and get
No such file or directory
If you can point me to where it is I'll be much obliged.

If not, then I'll make a fresh image tomorrow.

What happens with ssh pi@127.0.0.1 in an LXTerminal? What OS version are you using? Have you tried today's fresh new downloads? SSH connection failure

Thought I would try the new version of the Raspberry Pi Desktop OS for PC and Mac as I have been pleased with the previous version. Installed on a 16gb usb 2 stick with persistence went well and the desktop appeared. I configured the desktop and then tried to ssh into the OS using Putty from a Windo...

Re: Raspberry pi 3 not accessing websites

Well I don't know what else to suggest. You can either make a new image (save any important stuff) or try the DNS change I suggested earlier, unless someone else comes in in with a suggestion. If you look up your router help files you should be able to find out how to change the DNS, or you can rese...

Re: Raspberry pi 3 not accessing websites

I had a problem like this some time ago on my Windows Desktop when I could not load this forum website on any browser. I could load it from a different location on a laptop. I reset the router but the problem remained. I then change the router DNS from the default ISP provided one to Google DNS and ...

Start by clearing the browser cache.

Also web browsing on the pi can be a little slow, especially with a lot of open tabs.

Re: Hi, I want to build a music streamer & I’d appreciate any guidance.

Hi, I’d like to put together a Rasp Pi 3 B+ music streamer/player. I can put together a Windows PC hardware & software from scratch but I’m a newbie when it comes to Rasp Pi. Here’s what I want to build: a Rasp Pi (like Bryston Pi player w/out the high price tag) that I can connect to a internal or...

Re: Looking to build standalone audio player - need help

picorePlayer OS running Logitechmediaserver on a rpi3B or rpi3B+ can be configured to run as a wireless AC.

There are several control apps for Android.

Search for more information on the slimdevices forum.

What sort of phone OS?
What sort of rpi?
Which OS on the rpi?
Which soundcard on the rpi?
Which type of files/stream from the phone?
What do you want to connect the output to and how?
People need information to help others

Re: Audio Stream Low Latency

@Simple

I don't know if this would work with your Ubuntu setup, but it will cost nothing to try.

It does require that you are a Spotify Premium User.

Install this

https://github.com/dtcooper/raspotify

On the pi and it should show in the Spotify Desktop as a Spotify-Connect Device.

@ carlmart You don't say where in the world you live, but I would recommend consulting the information provide here https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/approved-reseller/ and using one that is local to yourself. You can do a "headless" setup using your Mac to connect to the Pi by ssh
And then enable the VNC server on the pi, via

Code: Select all

 sudo raspi-config

If you intend to use your PC computer (I presume you mean a Wndows OS) as the server then your raspberry pi will be used as a player only This is possible with LogitechMediaServer. If you use Volumio, MoOde or similar then the OS and the Player are both installed on the raspberry pi and the PC compu...

So let's start with a system that could do that, with an internal or external DAC to interface with the analog end, like power amplifier or preamp. What do I need or where can I get some kind of tutorial to guide me on that? I would recommend a rpi3B+ with official power supply and a small 8gb sd c...
