I"d like to think I"m in the first 4,000 - but seemingly not since not since no invitation to order as yet


RS mentioned in another thread that the 4000 RasPis would be given to users who expressed an interest up to 6:05am. In other words they got 1000 requests per minute!

I never did get an email from Farnell Export, but they did reply to an open support call and confirmed that my RasPi shipped TODAY Woohoo!

Customs permitting it should arrive sometime w/c 7th May.

Thanks for doing this svrsig. At least I am now very confident that my RasPi will be one of the original 10,000 when Farnell take delivery of 4,000 in early May.

Duracell 4Gb Class 4 SD card. Look at the 4k write speeds. The test took so long to run I thought my PC had crashed!

This currently might be the worst card to use with a RasPi!!

I plan to use a vanilla phone style charger to power it but pairing this with a pico projector and foldable mouse/keyboard would provide a portable that is comparable in price to a netbook that would fit in my pocket(s)
