Re: FBTFT on RISC OS

There is some support for touch, but not yet for non-HDMI LCD screens. Some people work on this feature, but it's not yet ready.

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

Probably just power. B and B+ have an integrated hub. Perhaps that it can provide 510 mA by port then the main USB port of the A and A+ provides only 500 mA? If your keyboard works with a powered hub, you 'll have the answer.

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

A wireless keyboard is seen as a standard one. The dongle is 'invisible' from the OS. So it's probably more a power issue... The Raspberry Pi is sometimes very strange with USB :D

You use the same PSU on all Pï? I would say that you haven't enough power for the dongle...

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

OK, I see. So the only solution is to:
1/ wait and prey :D
2/ stop the TCP/IP stack (in Configure) from your old Pi model B.

Re: Raspberry Pi Model A+ hang-up using RISCOS

It does not hang: DHCP timeout is veeeryyyyyy long. A press on escape sould bypass it. Else, you have the solution to boot from the B to deactivate TCP/IP and then to boot again on the A+. Good luck.

Re: Help needed with screen resolution

To change the config.txt file is not enough. You must also choose the right mode under RISC OS (if the required mode is not available, a suitable MDF file will be needed). Config.txt fixes hardware mode. Here 1360x768 pixels. Then, RISC OS boots in 1920x1080 inside this screen (so it's probably blur...

Re: Help needed with screen resolution

In config.txt :
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=39

Then, depending of the version of RISC OS you use, the Pi should boot automatically in the right mode, or you should choose a 1360x768 one. Nota: hdmi_mode=81 is 1366x768 mode, but RISC OS will only accept 1360x768 mode.

That's where is the mistake.
Use this one: http://gaming.capsule-sa.co.za/?gamepre ... nd-risc-os
Nota: a fresh port with Win98 patches, latest version of JIT engine and network support would be great :)

Re: What are people doing with RISC OS on the Pi?

with only two mouse buttons
This part is easy. Many tools can remap keys to mouse buttons. I use one on my Lapdock.
and get on to the internet with wifi.
You need a Wifi to Ethernet converter. There is no other solution. It's available for 20-40 Euro, depending of models.

Re: Limited memory

Nothing. The image includes a 2 GB Filecore partition. To get more, you must make your own RISC OS partition (it can be very easy with SystemDisc from Piccolo Systems... or harder with other ways). Bye, David.

There is now a web page about Midi under RISC OS, with Maestro (the base application for music).

Re: Native RISCOS MIDI sequencer?

Just for information: there is already a working MIDI module for RISC OS 5. It's not complete, but I can play tunes from maestro on a pocket expander with it. It works perfectly. We just need software now: 32bit ports of old titles, or changes to Hatari/DosBox in order to support hardware MIDI. Bye,...
