Re: Help! Upgrading micro SD from 8 GB to 64 GB on B+ model

Have you tried putting Raspi on the 64G card to see if that boots?

Re: Unable to set up PiGlow

I'm just starting out on setting up the PiGlow (I got it yesterday) and I'm having some trouble. When I type in wget https://raw.github.com/benleb/PyGlow/master/pyglow.py --no-check-certificate , 10-15 seconds later I'm getting 404 NOT FOUND. I'm using wired internet on my Pi and I'm so confused. H...

Re: Raspberry Pi Communication with controller

I don't know squat about RSS servers but as to connecting to your PLC, that part shouldn't be too hard. Do you have some documentation on how to connect?

Re: Differences between boot sector and its backup

Hey thanks. I tried both your suggestion and the other fellow's about using the jessie repo. Both work just fine but adding the additional repo makes apt-get update take twice as long, so I took it out.

Re: Differences between boot sector and its backup

I have the same problem, I caused it by unplugging my jump drive while the computer was running. I got the same errors and did the same fix, which cleared up the error when I run fsck but not when I boot. If you find a solution for this I would love to know. I'm also really curious how the boot sect...

Error message ejecting usb stick

I put a usb stick into my Pi and then looked at it with the file manager. When I was done I selected the Eject option and while it did in fact unmount, I got an error dialog: Error Starting Job: Failed to execute child process "eject" (No such file or directory). Anybody seen this and know how to co...

Re: Raspbian - Unable to set True color

I'm curious why it would take more than 64MB of video memory to display 32bpp? Also what is the default color depth and how does one find that information?

Thanks!

Re: Can't get a shell script to Autostart

The format for files in ~/.config/autostart is to name them something.desktop. The syntax as far as I can tell is: [Desktop Entry] Name=TheNameYouWantToShowUpInTheFileManager Type=Application Exec=path/to/script.sh Icon=path/to/icon.png That will start the script, path/to/script.sh, when the GUI sta...

Questions about starting and stopping VNC on boot

I've installed tightvncserver and it all works just fine. I found this page, http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/remote-access/vnc/, with good instructions on how to start the VNC server on boot. The script from the page however started it as root. I'm not a Linux expert by any stretch but I th...
