Re: Running an SSH

I need to run the Raspberry pi 4 without being connected to a monitor, just connected to internet. I have tried but it seems not to start correctly. Is there any solution to this :?: Presumably you have been a user of these forums for long enough to know that your RPi4 board needs to be running an ...

Re: Python weather station storing min and max values

Difficult to be sure because we apparently only have partial sight of your script. And I am far from being an expert in Python. But I would suggest: Separate the details of getting the forecast from the action of creating the display. Make the current temperature the return value from the forcast() ...

Re: Network Statistics for Rasp Pi 4 as Wireless Access Point

Hello, I'm working on a project to wirelessly transmit a large amount of data between two raspberry Pi 4's. To do so I'm thinking about using a third Rasp Pi 4 to act as an access point between the two Pi 4's I already have. Does anyone have any info regarding what speeds the Pi 4 can reach acting ...

Re: jumpers on GPIO as a "config file"

Pi prior to the 4B derive their MAC address from their serial number. Serial numbers are randomly generated. Enough Pi have now been sold that serial numbers are no longer guaranteed to be unique. The usual way of guaranteeing MAC uniqueness is to generate the complete sequence of possible MACs, st...

hmmm, never seen that one before - what model of pi are you trying to use that card to boot up? Sorry but the make isnt written on the Pi board. I am using stretch version of the OS. That seems curious and unexpected. Every current model of Raspberry Pi board shown on the Raspberry Pi products page...

QUESTION: How can I detect from python whether a particular pin-pair (e.g. the adjacent GPIO05 and GPIO12 ) is short circuited by a jumper or not? I cannot find any numbering scheme for the pins on the header of an RPi board in which 5 and 12 are adjacent. Using 'Broadcom GPIO' and physical header ...

Because there is a time command that can be used at a Linux shell prompt that will provide the same information.

Perhaps the problem is simply that the script completes and exits before the motors have had time to react and move?

Responding to your duplicate post under a second forum account name, and to the expanded question on Reddit. I won't do your coursework/assignment for you.
