Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

You might be in the 99% majority, but in this case the needs of the other 1% are paramount. I think you are right on that. It was just a suggestion :D Besides, in my other 56 inch screen i need to play with some other settings like overscan_left, right etc. I ve installed PINN on my raspi 2 but i s...

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

I used an other usb stick (32GB, usb 3.0) and everything installed correctly. So yes, it was a space issue as i thought.. I think PINN (which is a mix of berryboot - noobs - matt huisman's addon and Steve Smith's project) is almost perfect. One last thing i d love to see is the OS's rename option. I...

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

Have already tried that but to no avail. Same problem.

My only thought: I used a rather old usb 2.0 8 GB stick (7612 MB in PINN) and my 3 os's occupied 7469 MB :? Maybe that's why? Not enough space?

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

I will stick with the easy way. Just to clear this out: The config file - which is in the maintenance menu - corresponds to PINN’s partition? Am i right?

Boot pinn
Press shift to enter recovery menu
Press M twice to get to maintenance menu
Select pinn
Select edit config button
Add disable_overscan=1
Exit
Reboot
Oups i had forgotten that i can edit config and cmdline from within PINN's UI. Thank you both :D

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

If i understand correctly i should: 1) Add ssh argument in recovery.cmdline (in order to be able to ssh into PINN) 2) Enter PINN's User Interface by hitting Shift on my keyboard 3) Ssh with root/raspberry from win machine 4) sudo nano /flash/config.txt and add the disable_overscan=1 line. Is this co...

Can we - somehow - remove the black horizontal and vertical bars (overscan) from the PINN's User Interface and boot menu?

@Haris1977 - I posted a new 2854. Not tested with CEC yet, but does fix some things with the focus.
Wow! This one works as expected! Now it focus on the OS's themselves. Thanks! :D

Screenshot might be useful ;) You have downloaded the new pinn_2854.zip from /testing this morning? Yeap. I m using the 2854 v. I ve managed to load the background wallpaper image as i told you - even though i can only load totally black background because of the black horizontal and vertical bars ...

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

With the sticky default, you still have time to press the shift key, enter the PINN recovery menu I know that but i only use my tv cec controller and not keyboard to navigate. I thought you could add it as an extra option (maybe to recovery.cmdline) I put up pinn-2854.zip again for the wallpaper fi...

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

@procount i like the idea of the sticky default (cause 99% of the times i want to boot into one specific os) but i also like the 10 sec boot time menu (in order to have the time to change to an other os). Can we have them both?

Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

I ve put my wallpaper.png file to PINN's recovery partition but i cannot see any background. Re: STICKY: PINN - An enhanced version of NOOBS.

I think i have found a way to reproduce the culprit! Supposing i am on the Os boot menu: 1) When i press the Down/Up arrow of my TV controller cancel tab is highlighted and immediately PINN autoboots the 1st os :( . There is a glitch here.. 2) But..if i press the Right or Left arrow of my TV ...
