Re: omxplayer - GPU enabled video player

I fear not, because omxplayer writes to the console as it starts. I had a cunning script that did something like: CON=$(sudo fgconsole) trap "sudo chvt $CON" INT QUIT TERM EXIT sudo chvt 2 /usr/bin/omxplayer "$@" to switch to an empty VT, but omxplayer still spews out its informational message. Perh...

Re: Success with KB, Mouse & WiFi?

With the latest kernel (built from git), wifi, mouse and keyboard work just fine, with a powered USB hub. Both the Pi and the hub are powered from a 2.1A Cliptec USB charger. Using a cheap "no-name" WiFi adapter with r8172u kernel driver. Thank You so much... so I have to buy a good charger like cl...

Re: omxplayer - GPU enabled video player

By the way, since installing omxplayer, X fails to start. It gives me a blank screen and hangs. I can still login via ssh to shut it down, and then the display comes back. Is there a quick fix or do I have to have a separate SD card for my omxplayer install and others? (No spares at the moment as m...

Re: omxplayer - GPU enabled video player

You have the source code, if you want a gui ....

And I'm not convinced that having multiple threads on the same application helps anyone, rather it makes it more difficult to search for useful information (IMHO of course).

Re: Midori Issue

If there's no midori running, and the file

Code: Select all

.config/midori/running
exists, then delete the file

Code: Select all

.config/midori/running
The you should be able to restart midori.

Hi, the hobby-boards anemometer uses an anemometer board with this features: - DS2423 counter for wind speed or general counting purposes. - DS2438 A/D for wind direction or general A/D purposes. I saw that the first one w1retap can support it, but no info regarding the second one? It's still suppo...

thanks for the info. Does your package have the ability to write to devices? In particular i'm looking at the DS2408 to control a set of relays. Alternatively do you have any experience with OWFS? http://owfs.org/index.php?page=owfs I have used OWFS, at the time it didn't have all the features I ne...

To answer the questions: The blue blob is the USB to 1-wire adapter. It converts the Dallas-Maxim 1 wire protocol that the weather sensors use into a USB interface. There are some (old) images of the actual weather measuring equipment at http://www.daria.co.uk/wx/tech.html . The charts are generated...
