Re: access oracle database form another server

I think it is important and extremely useful to be able to present our weather data not only to school community but to general public. Our municipality and other local authorities asked if we could share with them our data in website. How can we do that? Can you make (RP foundation) prepare a less...

Re: RTC and Raspbian Jessie

Hi Christos -- thanks for flagging up the RTC problems and working through them to find a workaround. It does appear that the latest version of Raspbian does cause problems and we'll be updating the instructions to reflect that.

Thanks

Hi Christine -- there are some nice examples here: viewtopic.php?f=112&t=141773

I agree with the texy and Dougie -- wired is the way to go. Though as an ex-teacher all I can say is good luck with getting holes drilled in walls :)

Re: Help!!! Weather station seems dead!!!

Since I do not see light at the end of the tunnel with the RPi I have in my hands, if I get a new RPi is there a way to get it work without the HAT? (Provided I can find all the sensors that are on board the HAT one-by-one) hi -- we can send a replacement Pi if that is faulty. Before we do could yo...

Re: [*]Would it be feasible to extend the soil temperature g

Is it possible that a clay pot with soil near the weather station, will do the job? The temperature in the pot is unlikely to track ground soil temp simply because of scale -- the ground soil is a HUGE mass and heats and cools slowly. The pot temperature would also be affected more by wind and rain...

I've not had any direct experience but hopefully someone else here has. Radiation/UV sensors were something we wanted to put on but had to drop due to cost. We'd be interested to hear how you get on.

thanks

Alessandro - can you update us on the problems at the moment please. Specifically: 1. Have you managed to login to your schools weather station account and create a weather station 2. If so, have you managed to put the name and passcode from this weather station into the credentials file? thanks Clive
