Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

Please keep to the topic of this thread: It's about the kodi-15 packages that I provide. Pointing to the pipplware repository is a good idea, since it contains important add-ons. I've done that myself. But problems with this repository should be handled in a different thread. I am sorry to "hijack"...

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

@Rascas: when you plan to rebuild to 15.2 final? So we can update simply with an aptitude upgrade? EDIT2: I'v talked with the developer team of addon pvr vnsi and seams that you don't link correctly the GL for that plugin because OSD doesn't show, this is the http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...

The server is under maintenance, it will be online again ASAP. Meanwhile I will check the PVR vdr vnsi, and if there is a problem, I will update it. Thanks for the report about the PVR addon.

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

Yes, they were compiled for Wheezy but they all work in Jessie, so I didnt bothered compiling them again. They need libplatform1 and there is one PVR addon that needs libtinyxml2-0.0.0, don't remember which one. If you install the PVRs, dpkg will detect the missing dependecies and warn if missing, ...

Re: Kodi 15.1 Debian package for Raspbian on RPi 2

Hey thanks a lot for this! I do have a bit of an issue actually. I have no subtitles when playing some MKV files. Reading around the net i thought it was due to libass not being present but libass4 is present (i'm on wheezy). I don't get why it doesnt work for these files. Here is a description of ...

Re: Kodi 15.1 Debian package for Raspbian on RPi 2

Guenter, The "Reboot" and "Power Off" selections on the shutdown menu do not work properly. An inspection of the "/usr/share/kodi ..../720p/DialogButtonMenu.xml" file suggests that the "Reboot" selection invokes the kodi function "Reset()" and that "Power Off" invokes the kodi function "Powerdown()...

@wrechid and @monkeypunch

You also have my Kodi 15.1 packages in the repo a few posts behind. They are the based on the ones from the Raspbian repo, just more updated. The exit problem is fixed and supports avahi, airplay and DVDs. You can try them if you want. They work in RPi 1 and 2.

Re: Kodi 15.1 Debian package for Raspbian on RPi 2

When you said 2.2.6 PVR are you talking about pvr.hts (tvheadend )? If so that's the current version for Kodi 16 Jarvis, not sure if it will work with 15 Isengard, probably not because of the API bump. Like I said the PVR versions I made available are the latest stable available as of yesterday for ...

Re: Kodi 15.1 Debian package for Raspbian on RPi 2

I have updated the majority of the PVR addons, for Kodi 15.X. I made them because I didn't find any debian packages, updated on the internet. The versions are as the Isengard branch of: https://github.com/kodi-pvr They shoud work in any version of Isengard but I haven't test some. So, if there is an...

Re: Raspbian, Mate and XFCE Memory Resources

Well you shouldn't make just a simple comparison like that. The diference on memory consumption from a cold desktop start is small, but each DE has a set of default applications, for example, PCManFM (LXDE) is much lighter and faster than Caja (MATE), and Thunar (XFCE) is also lighter than Caja. The...

Well i think I have done it, and you were right, it wasn’t that hard. I was tired and sleepy on Monday :P Just made this script that I will include in the end of another one. Also substituted the end dialog messages for terminal ones, so no any user intervention is required. #!/bin/bash cd /home/pi/...

RetroPie-Setup: Call "Binary-based Installation" directly

Hi Is there a way to call “Binary-based Installation” directly from terminal, without the need of opening the dialog GUI of the RetroPie-Setup? This would be usefull to update various installations at the same time by using a automated bash script. (no need to wait for the menu to open and have to p...
