Yes, I agree. I just posted that because I believe the OP can get much better performance of his video wall if he overclocks h264.

Re: Video wall - OMX decoder limit

Overclocking just h264, like h264_freq=366 in config.txt and force_turbo=1 (not sure if this is needed) I can play Level 5.0, 1920x1080, 23,976fps, 90 Mbits/s h264 videos nicely, whitout frame skipping, with omxplayer or Kodi, like this one here: http://jell.yfish.us/ I am also able to play this tra...

Re: Release: Ubeify Desktop Media Player For Rpi 1 & 2

Yes you're right, bad coding on my part! It'll default to generic Linux if the hostname is changed and try to use VLC instead of OMXplayer. /proc/cpuinfo contains the hardware chip name, i'll change the code to query that instead: BCM2709 is Raspbery Pi 2 BCM2708 is Raspbery Pi 1 Can someone confir...

If you are using a recent version of RetroPie, there is an option to configure shaders in the retropie setup script.

Re: Release: Ubeify Desktop Media Player For Rpi 1 & 2

If the Raspberry Pi hostname is different from "raspberrypi" Ubeify installation fails. I think it autodetects as generic Linux and not the Pi. If I change the hostname to "raspberrypi", installation works and Ubeify runs fine, but if I change the hostname back to anything else, it exits with the fo...

Yes the Linux kernel supports most DVD usb players and also Kodi. The same for blurays. You may need to buy the mpeg-2 license to have a good playback of DVDs.

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

Firstly thanks a lot for sharing your work! I'm looking for a matching IPTV client for your KODI 15 on Jessie. I found that you are refering to pipplware for this topic. Do you have a link to share? The link I found on one of the posts seams to be not working... Here it is: http://pipplware.pplware...

Re: Kodi 15 Packages for Raspbian Wheezy & Jessie for RPi2

@torbenp First make sure that there are no network problems. Almost every DVDs use the mpeg-2 codec, and the Raspberry Pi, by default, doesn't use hardware acelerated decoding for that format, because of licensing issues. It can decode mpeg-2 by software but that can be slow and cause your issues. C...

Re: Kodi on X

You can run Kodi from within a X session, the only downside is that it will run fullscreen. Compilling Kodi with the option --enable-x11 should allow you to run Kodi in window mode, the problem is that I cannnot get it to compile with that option. In Kodi 15 I still have the same compilling error wi...

Hello, is possible install the joystick and gamepad packages? If I need to recompile, how I have to do? Sorry for my english. Kodi as it is now (until Isengard) fails to compile with the options --enable-x11 and --enable-joystick which are needed for joystick/gamepad support. It also needs SDL2 pac...

Please keep to the topic of this thread: It's about the kodi-15 packages that I provide. Pointing to the pipplware repository is a good idea, since it contains important add-ons. I've done that myself. But problems with this repository should be handled in a different thread. I am sorry to "hijack"...

Yes, they were compiled for Wheezy but they all work in Jessie, so I didnt bothered compiling them again. They need libplatform1 and there is one PVR addon that needs libtinyxml2-0.0.0, don't remember which one. If you install the PVRs, dpkg will detect the missing dependecies and warn if missing, ...

Guenter, The "Reboot" and "Power Off" selections on the shutdown menu do not work properly. You also have my Kodi 15.1 packages in the repo a few posts behind. They are the based on the ones from the Raspbian repo, just more updated. The exit problem is fixed and supports avahi, airplay and DVDs. You can try them if you want. They work in RPi 1 and 2.

When you said 2.2.6 PVR are you talking about pvr.hts (tvheadend )? If so that's the current version for Kodi 16 Jarvis, not sure if it will work with 15 Isengard, probably not because of the API bump. Like I said the PVR versions I made available are the latest stable available as of yesterday for ...
