Re: TP-Link AC600 T2U plus - No driver in kernel?

...ooops sorry! I thought that my kernel is the "standard" for Raspbian released. I took now the version without additions in the file name, not the V7, not the V7l version, correct? :-) Yes, corrrreccct! Works like a charm! Many, many thanks! Any idea if this driver will ever make it to the kernel...

The driver here https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au supports the USB id your wifi adapters use. Which OS are you planning on using? I compile a number of different wifi drivers, including the 8812au driver, for the Raspbian OS and they are available to download from http://downloads.fars-roboti...

Re: driver for wireless Realtek 8188

Hi Beach, Really strange that the wifi doesn't seem to work. You can check if it could work using command sudo iwlist wlano scan If the wifi may work this should show a list of wifi APs the wifi module can see. It can take a little time to respond but should then output a list of wifi networks the w...

The commits are from https://github.com/Hexxeh/rpi-firmware/commits/master . The full commits are 40 characters long but it is possible to reduce that to the first 9 or 10. The script will then read data from the hexxeh/rpi-update github to determine the kernel version that will be installed using t...

How did you create these files? Do they have cr/lf or just lf at the end of each line? I didn't create the files, I did a fresh install of stretch and I modified these two files. Can you elaborate on "Do they have cr/If or just If at the end of each line"? Linux text files, .conf. .txt etc., usuall...

Shouldn't the first line of file wpa_supplicant.conf be

Re: I can't get the wpa_supplicant.conf to work

Using Buster on the B+, the WiFi adapter seems to be working correctly since `iwlist` shows my WiFi network, so I assume it's something to do with wpa_supplicant. No idea what to try next though. Copy the wpa_supplicant.conf file from your Stretch card to your Buster card. If it still doesn't work,...

The command lsmod shows the 8192cu driver is loaded and command ifconfig shows the wifi has a valid IP address so should be connected to your network and working.

Re: Error on sudo apt-get update

Look at the man pages for apt-get. Using "-y" just hides the issue. Do you know there are no other questions asked that you might want to answer "no" ? "--allow-releaseinfo-change" addresses this specific issue and is there to be used in this specific case. Both may work, but only one is the right ...

Your problem is related to Raspian Buster having been offically released before Debian Buster. It will no doubt go away when the next Raspbian image is released in a month or two.
