Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v2

thauke, Sorry for the delayed response. At first I thought notro doesn't support your device with his framebuffer driver ( see here ). Then I noticed his note that the list is not complete and that his source should be referenced. It looks like his last submission added support for a Waveshare TFT, ...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v2

I have already started a complete tutorial, but I won't be able to finish it until next week. Here are the top-level tasks you have to complete (going off memory here): 1-Expand the file system ( see this ) 2-sudo apt-get update 3-Add "dtoverlay=hy28b, rotate=90" to /boot/config.txt 4-Now you can co...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v2

All right! So I should have heeded Texy's council on the v4 TFT setup: It is recommended to use the latest raspbian image dated 2015-02-16, to configure using an SSH session remotely, with no TV/Monitor connected to the HDMI port, and to connect the 2.8" Display board right from the start prior to c...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v2

Texy! I was hoping you would like that reprise of your initial RaspBMC post! Thanks for the cron idea. I thought for sure that was going to do it. Unfortunately, I am still seeing the same thing. I know fbcp is automatically launching, as the boot console is displayed on my TFT (which by the way I d...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v2

OSMC anyone? https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-4LcJXAXvt_o/VTcyLIRj9kI/AAAAAAAAAG0/93saMUWy6I4/w1255-h941-no/20150421_232146.jpg Now that RaspBMC is no longer supported, I wanted to get my v2 TFT up and running with OSMC on my Raspberry Pi 2. This has been quite the undertaking for me as the RaspBM...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v1 a/b/c

Hi again Texy,

Sorry, I am an idiot :? . I even saw another post earlier in this thread where someone was following the v1 instructions for a v2 board. I don't know why I assumed that was not my issue.

I'll use the correct thread for my version! Cheers!

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v1 a/b/c

Texy, I actually just received my display this month (I'm the one who wanted a longer ribbon cable). You said that these boards are the 4th version (but 1st using the HY28B), I was just wondering if that was why they could achieve the 20 fps at a slower SPI speed. Also, my previous post made it soun...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v1 a/b/c

Hi Texy, Got my display and it looks awesome! I had it up and mostly functional in no time on RaspBMC. Just a few issues I had, wanted to see if they were expected. First of all, using the settings you described: fbtft_device name=hy28a rotate=270 speed=48000000 fps=50 debug=32 the display was very ...
