Pi o w error crashes after a short period

I run RPI-cam web on my PI0-W and have since its first day. Normally it runs all day with no problem. The first time it stopped after a short period I blamed the weather as it was outside and in full sun albeit covered with plenty of air access. On testing the temperature today shortly after booting...

Re: First Timer Pi Zero W Setup Issues (Headless)

Sorted it: Plugged it in my Pi3 on cat5 sudo raspi enabled ssh wireless and vnc. Rebooted accessed by vnc and associated wireless. Took out the SDcard put it in my Pi zero w with a ssh file, expanded files, localisation etc, rebooted, installed my programs and its now in the garden shooting a backli...

Re: pi zero v1.3 headless usb config

I was wondering if I have the same problem but mines a v1.1 Previously I gave up on trying to make it headless and went for a Usb connection, within minutes I'd got an ip and could start raspi-config, vnc and anything else. Moments after that It was headless again and has run faultlessly for months ...

Re: Pi Zero W: Truly headless setup?

Hi! This is a strange thing. Have anyone really got the Zero W to show up in the net by only adding ssh and the wireless info file? No, i've tried different image writers, different Raspians, different SDcards, different file editors, even a different font and different indent. Yesterday I tried ov...

Re: First Timer Pi Zero W Setup Issues (Headless)

The 2017 Stretch didn't help for me, there was much action on the green led but next time i looked all lights where off as it had powered down. Stretch 2018-04-18 much action on the led before a solid led, but no sign of it in the hub or Ip scanner. Both ssh and wpa have been used. Stretch lite 04:1...

Hi all A fresh install of pipan, checked pan & tilt. Installed RPi_Cam. Created pipe and pipan_pipe, rebooted, pan and tilt buttons on show but no action from them. Renamed pipan on to off and back again with no joy. A fresh install of RPi_Cam, up and running no problem. Installed pipan, checked pa...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

In my last post I'd left Pi out filming after a stop start and don't reboot attempt. I powered it down late that evening, my video's and pictures luckily downloaded in my Pc 's browser. Sunday morning re-power just to check that I wasn't leaving anything behind before formatting. I spent the rest of...

Arggggh no I run chmod u+x *.sh and then ./RPi...install. This morning about 06:30 I missed off the full stop of ./install, (your message had registered) but rightly so it errored. On retyping I went old school and ./RPi_ I've just put it on another card with ./install and although it took ages (the...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

As I have said in my previous posts, Just to clarify, chmod u+x *.sh or if that doesn't work after a reboot and no buttons, reformat, then chmod u+x RPi_Cam_Web_Interface_Installer.sh. They are the only two options on the way in, over the last few days I've tried both, numerous times with the same r...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@btidey imbibed with your simple sounding instruction I set off for number 7 install, thats possibly number ten this month, ( the arrival of some new servo's, Ir Leds, a motion sensor and other goodies, and a Pi3, meant pi's have all had a change around) I dread to think how many times since 2013, s...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Number seven, a basic install, chmod u+x RPi_Cam_Web_Interface_Installer.sh instead of number sixes chmod u+x *.sh, normally I install Pi-pan before RPi, i left it out, touched nothing, accepted everything, rebooted, no buttons working. sudo chmod 755 /etc/rc.local, reboot, no buttons work, stop and...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

The other thing I've noticed is that the motion detection doesn't seem to always pick up movement until the object is really close or further away but a large object (like a truck). I currently have the mode set as internal. I'm still kind of confused as to which mode I should be running in.[/quote]...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I had it running on three Pi's also, but every day is different. You have a file, RPi_Cam_Web_interface, in the home/pi/RPi_Cam_Web_interface folder, if your in desktop mode, double click it and pick "execute in terminal" Terminal should start and a menu appear, pick number three, "configure after i...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Interesting power supply and camera idea, yesterdays Pi3 experiment had two servo's plugged into one of the USB's, and ran for a few hours, at times quite violently during my testing, all the buttons worked, motion, and video, a partial dislodge maybe? As much as I moan about the shortness of the po...

I did a fresh install on a new sdcard on a shiny new Pi3 yesterday with RPI, pibits, and Pi-pan, everything was working fine. I've never had copy paste to work from a browser in Win7 RDC into Raspian Lxterminal, tried the mouse and all the keyboard shortcuts, start stop rdpclip etc. I was hoping it would work on pi2 but no joy so far.

Pi 2 sdcard problems

Yesterday was my first day with a Pi2. I used SDformatter and imagewriter to install noobs 1.4.1 all went well on boot up. I then spent the day installing stuff and after a few mistakes decided to start again. Sdformat, imagewriter, both lights stayed on with no video output. Plugged card back into ...
