Re: Launching a script/application on boot?

I think you want to look at init.d and rc scripts.

Google is probably you best friend to find something like:
http://www.ghacks.net/2009/04/04/get-to ... directory/

Also have a look what you already have under /etc/ and /etc/rc*

Is this the sort of thing you are after?

Re: WiFi Issues ? Start here !

What can I do if I can't see the modules loaded in step 2 as I think that is my problem? I am using small usb wifi device that just has 802.11n written on it (cheap one off ebay). Power is through the micro usb using a genuine iPhone charger but maybe I should buy a usb hub? If I plug the wifi conne...

Re: Slick LAN name resolution

You could use something like nmap and work out the ip addresses from your mac addresses too and populate your DNS server from that (or hosts file) as your mac addresses won't change. Something similar (show ip and mac addresses) to the andrio app fing I read about on rasPi.tv last night from one of ...

Re: I don't no what this is called or if it is possible?

Maybe what your looking for is "VNC Server"? Read the first couple of paragraphs at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Network_Computing

I found a RPi install guide at http://elinux.org/RPi_VNC_Server and there is a VNC client in the App Store.

Is this the sort of thing ur looking for?
