Re: Repository failing...

No, it ran without doing that. Notice on the failures that it drew in partial lists before failing. Which tell me network is ok ( it hits the first two ok) So, I'm going with the problem is as I stated in the beginning. The repository has a problem. This is why I asked it the same servers are hit ea...

Re: Repository failing...

Did I mention that I have 6 of these monitoring UPSs and as a fileserver? They are updated by a batch script from Windows 10. Don't have time to do this individually.

Re: Repository failing...

I've been using apt-get update/apt-get upgrade ever since using Debian at least the last ten years. Haven't had this kind of problem before.

I do apt-get update then apt-get upgrade. It is failing the update on that repository. Will try apt-get clean.

Re: Choppy audio

Tried to force it out of the audio jack with Raspi-config, but it insisted on always coming out the HDMI. I assume the TRRS jack is the 3.5 mm audio jack on the pi? I guess there is something in the handshake with the HDMI that causes it to always output thru HDMI?

Audio is cutting out and in. Didn't think of power supply interference. Tried several HDMI cables. Will try moving power supply. Both are plugged into a UPS.

Well, apparently it is the wifi connection. Bummer. The room it is in has no ethernet connection. Also, this is a dual boot with OSMC. OSMC plays fine over wifi.??? My signal strength is ok as the TV and other devices work fine. I know what it is not also: not HDMI cable, not Bluetooth being enabled...

Re: STICKY: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

Have the new Pi3 b+ and loaded the new stretch with pixel desktop. Only minecraft is included and none of the favorites are there. I especially enjoyed killing time with mahjongg and no versions are with pixel.

Re: Help please--New Pi3 B+

I did an upgrade so I wouldn't have to redo the box. Been running since December with Stretch. This is the same way I update my Debian boxes. Since I haven't heard of rpi-update before today, did not know it was needed. I have not loaded a new card since I've gotten the older pi 3 b. I have 3 pi's m...

Re: Help please--New Pi3 B+

Note. I am a happy camper! My fileserver (the new Pi) is at least twice of the speed on the older Pi 3 B. Also, rpi-update may have been needed since I upgraded from Jessie originally.

Re: Help please--New Pi3 B+

Well! Saw a post about 'rpi-update' (apt-get full-upgrade updated nothing more), and and now it boots fine...Why is there no note with the new pi# B+ to do this?
